Alex had his birthday party yesterday and loved every minute of it. It was held at Jungle Mania in Sheffield and because it was nice and early the venue was relatively empty giving him and his friends plenty of space to run around and have fun in without any upset.
When the party food was ready they marched round to the cubicle dancing to the song 'I like to Move it' from Madagasca.
Although Alex was dressed as Anakin Skywalker he had chosen a Cheeky Monkey birthday cake, which to my mind was most appropriate.
He loved blowing out the candles, although as I had chosen Happy Birthday candles there were a lot for him to blow out and it took several goes before he succeeded.
Today we went to the Palm Sunday service at church where we paraded around outside the building waving brightly coloured flags and enjoyed great worship, and this afternoon we went over to Shire Green where we joined in an Easter Egg hunt.
Crafting wise I haven't had time to do much but I had to join in with the Less is More challenge which was a photo inspiration one. The photo contained pink flowers, with pale green stems on a light grey background. I used a Penny Black stamp which I stamped using a watercolour technique and distress inks onto water colour paper. I then added the little eggs from 7gypsies to turn it into an Easter sceen (I would have used grey, but didn't have any so used pale blue instead). I am also entering this into CCT 'Happy Easter', Paperplay 'Easter', Aud Sentiment 'Happy Easter', and Penny's challenge 'Easter'. That is all from me for now. Enjoy Holy Week.
Love & God Bless,
Caro

I like this neat watercolour-style image Caro. Sounds like your son had a great birthday!
I think I would have avoided the blue of the eggs Caro... green probably would have been more sympathetic to the palette... as you didn't have any grey.
It's a sweet design.
Thanks so much
Chrissie

I'm new to stamping and have read about this w/c technique, but not tried it yet! Fun to see you using it :)
Love the technique you have used. Thanks for playing at Aud Sentiments.
