WOYWW 659

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia.  I hope you are all doing well.

My desk is very boring today! It is set up for work - I am mostly working from home unless I have to go into uni for teaching or student meetings so each day everything gets put away (or shoved to the side).  You can see my large mug of tea - I don't function without tea - and two note books to one side. These are the books in which I write my meeting notes and to do lists, and any notes around things I am doing. Towards the righthand side of my desk at the back you can see a honeydukes mug which is full of sweets to keep me going when marking and doing internal quality assurance for assessments.  I need the sugar boost!

There has been very little crafting this week - just this page in my journal and keeping my bullet journal up to date.

I have managed some beautiful swims this past week but my favourite was probably the full-moon swim on Monday evening.  We swam by the light of the moon and it was wonderful.  It wasn't the most peaceful of swims as everyone howled like wolves as we entered the water, but when I sawm away from the rest into the centre and lay back I could see all the star constellations and the moon was so incredibly bright.

Afterwards we had a small fire, and a couple played the North American Flute and drum which really added to the atmosphere.

That's all from me for now.  I hope you have a wonderful week,

With love & God bless,

Caro

WOYWW 658

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your Workdesk (WOYWW).  Firstly a massive apology for failing to comment on many people's blogs last week - life just got completely in the way... I ended up having to re-write my sermon a few times before I felt it was saying what I should!  It went well in the end so was worth all the prep and re-writes. I hope you are all keeping well and I look forward to visiting everyone this week.

Here is my desk as it was at 8.20am this morning (the crafting stuff is now away and I am starting to work at the same desk - it feels a bit like deja-vu). On here you can see my journals and my tea, and a box of washi stickers... my go to stickers for my bullet journal.

I have had a little time for crafting this week so spent the little time I had setting up my new diary journal with the summary of last year and goals for the coming year. These are simple bullet journal style spreads with just pen and washi tape, but I like to have them at the back of my journal as a reminder.

Some of you may have seen on Facebook, but Alex and I spent a happy afternoon at Chatsworth last weekend looking at the Christmas lights. It was beautiful and special to spend some quality time with him.

And yes, I have been swimming - this is known as the Mangroves and was a new to me swimming venue. I just love the reflections of the trees in the water and the wonderful archway of branches you go through to get to open water. It really is a refresh and re-set for me. That is all from me for now...I have to get on with some editing.  Do take care of yourselves and stay safe.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

WOYWW 657 - Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to my blog. I was missing in action last week due to a lovely visit to my Mum's but more of that later!

This is my desk as it was looking at about 10pm last night, hence no mug of tea - even I don't drink tea that late or I am up all night!  You can see my two new journals which are waiting for me to write in (I do this every evening), and a pile of books to the left of the desk which are some of my Christmas presents.

I thought you may like to see the contrast in the journals - these show last years bullet journal (black covers) compared to this years, and last years diary (with photos) compared to this years.  I actually bought the wrong diary this year - it has twice as many pages at the back so I have no idea how I am going to fill it!  A challenge for another day.

Over the holiday I did manage to have some crafting time and completed last years diary entries as shown in all these photos.  The next time I get to craft I will be starting the new diary, but I am preaching this week and still need to prepare the sermon.

We had a lovely Christmas with my in laws and then went down to Somerset to my Mum's for a few days.  On both occasions we were joined by other members of the family so it was lovely.

Needless to say there has been some swimming involved over the past few weeks - this photo was taken on New Years Eve, I also swam on New Years day, starting the New year as I intend to continue. That's all from me for now. I hope you are all keeping safe and well,

With love & God Bless,

Caro
