Fireworks! (WOYWW)

Poor Alex was far too tired to go to the school fireworks display so I put on an extremely early mini display for him and Tim at home where they were able to watch from the comfort and warmth of the dining room.
They did brave the cold for a family sparklers session beforehand which was great fun.
This is my desk yesterday morning before school when Alex did his traditional before school crafting session - this time the project was a paper donut decorated with pink glitter glue and gems! He actually left the desk fairly tidy, but it wasn't going to stay that way for long LOL!
Here is the desk as it is today for WOYWW in the midst of finishing my lastest Faith Smash book page. As well as the smash book you can mostly see odds and ends from old sticker ribbon sheets (I was using up some of those bits), some bright music stickers, my scissors, ruler, some ribbon, my note pad peeping out from under the detritus and of course my trusty mug of tea (nice and warm).
Here is the second page of the Faith book I started last week.  The words immediately surrounding the heart are taken from a worship song (I'm coming back to the heart of worship and its all about You, it's all about You Jesus), and the other pieces of black writing are from various Psalms.
The next double page spread is of Expressions of Worship and are a mixture of images taken from the net, verses from the Bible, and my dodgy drawing!  At the moment I seem to do a lot of movement and dance in worship and have always been a singer, hence the images and verses on the left hand side of the page and the bottom of the righthand page.  It has been a while since I waved a flag in church but I wanted to include that as one of the possible expressions of worship especially as I may be called back to it in the future.
Finally here is a card that I made for Tim's birthday.  His favourite colour is green so there are highlights of green in this as well as gold embossing and tea dye distress ink.  The stamps I used were a French script from Crafty Individuals and steampunk images from Darkroom door.  I am entering this card into Cards for men 'Anything goes', Kaboodle Doodles 'Anything goes', SSSS 'Francais' (French script), Papertake Weekly 'Anything goes'and All sorts 'For men only' challenges.  That is all from me for now. Have a great week everyone.
Love,
Caro

Happy WOYWW. I enjoyed watching our neighbour's fireworks from the window - and last night the neighbouring village had a big display, so I watched that from one of our fields with the dogs! Love that your son likes to craft before going to school. Ali x #63 ps Bet Tim got loads of cards for his birthday!

How long did David the Pumpkin last??
I never used to take our boys to fireworks at that age either, Owen didn;t like the bangs, so what's the point?!
Some great crafting going on though!

Your book is lovely, and such a good idea. I do not know how you have time for a pre-school craft session, you must be so organised, but Alex certainly seems to enjoy it. Thank you for your suggestions on the phone calls. We are not on BT and Virgin charge for call monitoring, so we are stuck with caller id and trying to ignore the rats who invade our privacy. Have a good week. xx Maggie #40
