WOYWW 472 (and I'm back!)

Well, I am back in blog land for the first time in nearly 4 years!  It is the delights of the desks and nosing round other peoples crafting spaces on a Wednesday (for What's on your Workdesk Wednesday - WOYWW - hosted by Julia) which has encouraged me back.  My desk is its usual chaos of piles of pens and pencils on the edges in pots and stamps and inks etc around them, with a small patch of bare desk to work on. At the moment my working space is occupied by two index cards I have made using gesso and adirondack ink, my bullet journal and prayer journal piled up on the right, and a book I am reading at the moment as I prepare for a talk I am giving in church on Thursday evening. My main crafting at the moment is joining in with a daily challenge - to decorate an index card anyway I fancy!  The challenge runs for all of June and July and was set by Tammy.
This one was made using alcohol inks and a freebie stamp
This was doodled during a conference day at work to stop me falling asleep!
This was a complete experiment with inks and paint and layering
Another experiment of inks and paint, this time adding in some paper weaving for texture.  That is the beauty and joy of the index card challenge - you can experiment to your hearts content - no rules, no judging, just enjoyable creativity.
Just before I go, I thought I would leave you with a photo of my not so little young man to show how much he has grown up in the past 4 years!  This was taken at the local splash park a couple of weekends ago.  That's all for now, I look forward to hopping round the desks later.

Pleased to meet you Caro. I am a relative newcomer to WOYWW and hadn't started my blog when you last joined in. I love the variety of your index cards, especially the one which mixes paper weaving and inking. Have a great week. Sarah #19

I was SO glad to reconnect with you, Caro. I'm also delighted to see you are doing the ICADs, too. I post mine every Monday, but they are certainly not as detailed and impressive as yours, which I am in LOVE with.

Alex has really grown. I remember how you always used to take him someplace special each week. It's so good to see you again. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi Caro. Oh my word - how Alex has grown! Quite the young man now - and obviously enjoying the splash park. I love the dance piece especially, but all are real evidence of your creativity. Hope the talk goes well on Thursday.
Take care. God bless.

So lovely to see you back and joining in the fun. My how your little man has grown....time flies! If you’re wanting a Memory bear making bear in mind that I usually use the backs of the sweatshirts and make a badge out of the logo off the front so it sits in the right place on the front of the bear so wear and tear is often less on the back....if you know what I mean 😀😀😀😀

For a start I cannot believe it is almost four years since you last blogged! Gosh, time does really fly by. However, your photo of your son tells it all, he is quite the young man now and such a good looking boy too.
Some lovely cards on display for us, I would not know which to choose as a favourite, all are equally nice.
Have a lovely week, see you next week?
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me - Neet 5 xx

Hello Caro, welcome (back) online, nice to meet you! Aaahh, index cards!!! The ICAD challenge keeps a lot of people creating during these Summer months - I didn't join this year as we just moved houses so I have other things on my mind but it IS a delight to create on index cards. I love yours, especially the layered/inky one! thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Have a great week, love from Holland, Marit #28

Hello Caro, and welcome back after such a long gap from blogging. I imagine you've been pretty busy in the interim ... it certainly looks like it by the many beautiful index cards you've shared this week. I like all the inking techniques you've been experimenting with. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #30

Hi Caro! You stopped blogging almost exactly to the day when I started mine! 4 years is a long time to be away - I'm happy you've found your way back to blogland! Lovely index cards - I especially like the inky one! You've got a handsome little fellow there - he seems a bit younger than my son, who's now 13. Hope you'll become a WOYWW regular! Thanks for your visit yesterday! zsuzsa #26

Hi Caro, and welcome back to Blogland! What a lovely post. Your designs are so beautiful and all celebrate the wonderful verses from Scripture! I really must get into some Christian art... Thank you for your great comment and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing all my antics this week. The lady who is going to be 100 is Jewish, hence the Shalom. She regularly attends our Friends of Israel meetings and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to bless her this weekend. In addition to the card and present, I am also going to sing the Blessing from Numbers chapter 6 in Hebrew for her at the party.

Happy belated WOYWW and I look forward to seeing more of your blog!
