WOYWW518

Only 2 weeks until the 10th anniversary of WOYWW!  Don't know what I am talking about then take a look at Julia's blog where she explains all.
This is my desk this week - I have just hidden away the ATCs I am in the process of making for the swap and am generating another masterboard with using the Stabilo Woody pencils as the first layer - these are watercolour pencils and I use them a lot in my art journal. I like them best over the top of gesso as they are softer somehow then.  Also on my desk you can see my trusty mug of tea and to the left some zentangles I did a while ago.  The change to the right is to go into our change pot (my purse was getting a little full of 1 and 5p coins!
The only crafting I have done this week has been to make some ATCs for the 10 year swap so I thought I would show you a journal page I did a few weeks ago using Dina Wakley Collage Collective for the faces. The background was made using the Stabilo Woody pencils, distress inks, stencils, and spray inks.
I loved having another bank holiday this week and Alex and I joined in with the Christian Aid May Day Trek.  Over 100 walkers were involved and we joined in with a large crowd from our church walking the 6 mile trek.  It was great fun and raised lots of money for Pregnant Mum's in Sierra Leone.
That's all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
With love & God Bless
Caro

Glad you enjoyed the trek, the weather was bright but chilly here too. I like the colours on that faces page, so pretty and fresh. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Love your journal page. I am always drawn to faces (wish i could draw them really well) on stamps and things so immediately home in on a page with some on. Lovely background you did and I am envious of you creating like that in pencil. Great work!
Nice to see so many of you walking together, good to have a chat whilst walking - takes me back to my days when I ran a Ranger Unit and would take the girls lightweight camping - oh what lovely memories - and one of them got in touch last year so that was especially nice.

Love the journal page, lovely warm colours and the faces seem perfect in their circles. It makes me cough when you say that page and the ATCs are the only crafting you’ve done this week.....I feel a right slacker!! Lovely happy shot of you trekkers, great way to enjoy some fundraising.

We know there's always a treat in store when we have to hide things on our desks. It's a case of finding it on mine hee hee!! Nice to have made the most of the bank holiday, looks like everyone enjoyed the fresh air. Happy WoywW Tracey #5

I just love it when someone hides something on their desk. My days of having to do that are about over and I am becoming an open book! Happy WOYWW!

Fabulous pages - I love the faces and the gorgeous shade of green, such a fresh spring colour. It looks like you not only had a lovely Bank Holiday walk but raised money for a worthy cause too - I wasn't nearly as energetic as you but I did enjoy some gardening in the lovely weather we had.
Hope you have a great week,

I love the faces on your art journal page! I thought of skipping the ATC swap this year but now that the date comes near, I might change plans as my fingers start to itch... it's a BIG anniversary this year after all... so I might just go for it and start creating ATCs after all. Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, I am late with my return visit so instead of happy 'Wednesday' I wish you a nice weekend! Hug from Holland, Marit #22

Good morning, Caro. Apologies for the late visit. Just got buried under stuff in the studio as I am trying desperately to re-organize before opening an Etsy shop. What a lovely way to spend May Day and for an awesome cause. Fellowship is always a good way to spend a day.

I have put you on my swap list, Carol. Please use the contact form on my blog to send your postal info and I'll email you back. Creative Blessings! Kelly #28
