WOYWW 482

It's Wednesday and time to show my desk again as part of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW), the brain child of Julia
My desk is looking a little bare today with my Bible to the left, my large mug of tea at the back, a shopping list (for the all important back-to-school stationery shop) and a newly created Hogwarts school ID card for Alex.
Here is a close up of the ID card which used a free template designed by a guy called Muggle Magic DIY.  The folder at the back is a little folder that the ID card fits in.
I joined into a challenge to create something in 5 minutes!  It was a challenge i can tell you, but for what it's worth, this is one of my 5 minute art journal entries made using the tissue paper I had been using to clean off my water colour brushes and mop up other colourful creative mess!
I haven't done a lot of crafting this week as I have been away again - this time to my parents in Somerset to collect Alex who had been there for a week, and to see my brother and his family.  When the weather was good enough we went for some lovely walks...
...including waving at the trains - the boys were very happy that three trains 'dee-dahed' them and five drivers waived at them.

We also picked loads of blackberries, raspberries, plums, apples, runner beans, french beans, tomatoes, lettuce and courgette fresh from the garden and surrounding area... there is nothing nicer!  Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

what a fabulous week! glad you got to get out a bit too. About a year or so ago when I was on the train to Kew Gardens, I passed a youngish girl and her dad playing tennis on a court by the track.. the girl waved at the train and you should have seen the look of astonishment on their faces as I waved back!! Hope when you do Alex's school stationery shopping you "oops I need one" for yourself too.... you know you want to!

Hi Caro, lovely for you to spend the last few days of the holidays with your family. I'm kinda looking forward to the start of school again, although it means more hectic mornings. Love your 5-minute page - I didn't spot the tissue paper at first -I thought it was random ink marks! Looks really good! Thanks for your visit earlier - enjoy the last few days of summer! zsuzsa #24

Hi Caro. Lovely to see you here today. It sounds like you have all had a great summer - read back a week - sorry to learn your hubby's mobility is shrinking somewhat. Some great photos today of your activities. Your 5minute challenge is incredible - well done.
Take care. God bless.

What a fun post! Great art with the clean up tissue. I Love to use the wet baby wipes that I use for clean up on CS for backgrounds.
Have a great week! #33

Hi Caro, Your son is lucky to have such an inventive crafting mum. The Hogwarts ID is fab.

Glad you had such a nice time with your family and the boys enjoyed waving at the train drivers and some waved back. Great that some even 'dee'dahed' them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

I really enjoyed seeing what you got up to - lovely pics of the family walking and train waving (that takes me back to when my boys were small!) The Harry Potter card was great and thanks for the blog heads up!

Happy memories of when dad used to work on the railway and I knew a lot of the other workers as a child.

Ooooh... are the blackberries ready to pick? I must go to the dunes (at the seaside) then as I know they grow there and I just LOVE it!! Going for walks, exploring nature and surroundings, is a good way to spend time with family and friends! After painting (the lilac case) my beloved and I spend some quality time last week too going for walks and such so I’m pretty late with my visit, it’s almost weekend already! Enjoy, enjoy. Love from the Netherlands. Marit #20

Hi Caro, what a wonderful amount of fruit and veg to pick, reminds me of my childhood. Glad you had a great week away. It will soon be back to school again, the Summer holidays go by so quickly.

Love the Hogwards ID. Alex does look like he'd be a Potter fan, for sure. What a great treat and a simple pleasure to see the trains and their waves acknowledged. Great fruit haul. So far I've frozen peaches this year to be turned into jam when weather is cooler. Next on my list is apples. The weather has been so hot that the garden didn't do much. Creative Blessings! Kelly #27
