WOYWW 512

Welcome back to my blog and the weekly desk hop hosted by Julia called What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW).
This photo of my desk was taken on Tuesday evening - I am trying to get into the habit of putting things away when I have finished crafting and having a tidy desk so all you can really see are the cards I made on Monday, my ipad, my bullet journal sitting on top of the latest craft stamper magazine, the paint water (still to be cleared away) and a pad of paper with weekend plans on it - I was trying to work out when we could hold Alex's birthday party.
Just in case you think that my desk is always that tidy - here it is when I was in the middle of working in my art journal over the weekend. Alex went out for the afternoon to his mate's leaving me free to play - and yes, I did create chaos and have a wonderful time in the process.
Here is the finished journal page using a mixture of gesso, stablilo woodies (water colour pencils), ink sprays, brushos, stamping and embossing. The main stamp is a Dina Wakley one, the others are a mix and I cant remember where i got them from (sorry).
To finish here are my two Mother's Day cards made using my cuttlebug and some free stamps coloured in with prismacolor crayons.
I hope you all have a lovely week and enjoy the spring sunshine.
With love & God Bless

WOYWW 511

Well here we are again for the weekly nose around the crafting desks of the world courtesy of Julia.  You can join in the fun at her blog.
Here is my offering for this week - finally some crafting underway.  I had about 20 minutes to play in my art journal yesterday so I pulled out a random selection of supplies and played!  Boy was it fun and therapeutic. You can see brushos, distress paints, posca pens, actylic paints and the journal.  This was taken part way through the page.
Here is the finished article - it was a quick one taking less than 20 minutes so I couldn't over analyse or plan too much (that's what tends to stop me being creative).

This is the close up of the image (from Crafty Individuals) and the sentiment sticker from Illustrated Faith.
Last weekend Alex went to a scouts tournament in all that rain and wind - he was tired and filthy at the end of it, but very happy because...
his team came joint first for the Hallam Trophy after completing 10 different tasks.  That's all from me for now. Have a great week everyone.
With love & God Bless

WOYWW 510

Crazy busy week this week so I feel like I am chasing my tail a bit – work is insanely busy and it is impacting a little on life at home as there is just so much to do. I am hoping that things will calm down a little next week as marking should be completed and other projects are easing off.   Anyway onto the reason that you are all here – WOYWW – my favourite weekly blog hop

As a result I haven’t had a huge amount of time to play over the past week, but did spend a happy hour last night getting my Bullet Journal/diary up to date again.  Playing with printing mini photos and pens and stickers. On my desk you can see my journal, mini printer and various inks, pens etc as well as my large mug of tea (almost finished at that time).
I am going to keep this short and sweet as Miss Julia likes it, and end with a photo of Alex learning to build flat pack furniture.  He really quite enjoyed himself and was proud of the success he had – mind you we still have two more drawers to complete! This weekend’s task I feel…
That’s all for now, I hope that you all have a lovely week.
With love and God Bless,
Caro

WOYWW 509

Where has that week gone?  Work has been crazy busy and almost without me noticing it we are back at Wednesday again so here is my desk as part of WOYWW.
On my desk you can actually see some crafting in action - a birthday card for my sister in law who loves to dance. You can also see inks pads, sponges, pens etc.  My mug of tea is half-finished and my laptop charging cable is draped across the desk.

In other news Alex had scout camp this last weekend and survived the high winds and rain coming back tired and filthy but happy having had a wonderful time.
And to finish here is a picture of Alex trying to flip a pancake - great height but a shame it didn't entirely land in the pan on the way down - he was much more successful when he wasn't as vigorous with the throw!  That's all from me for now.  Have a wonderful week everyone.
With love & God Bless,
Caro
