Here is my desk as it was yesterday - sermon prep underway with a mug of tea for sustenance.
Later I cleared away all the sermon prep and started on Valentines Day cards so you can see brushos, ink pad, stamps, paper scraps etc.
This is the final card which I made for Tim - not quite how I planned as the black paint pen splodged.
This week saw us having fun at a silent disco at church - a very surreal experience but hilarious. everyone wears headphones that have three channels so you can choose your favourite music and dance to it. From the outside there is no sound other than people singing out of tune, which is even funnier if people are singing two different tunes. The funniest bit was when three of us were dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller doing the actions while others were dancing to YMCA!
I will finish by saying stay safe and warm in this weather - we had our first proper snow today so Alex was looking forward to snowball fights on the way to school!
With love & God Bless,
Caro

A bit more snow than we had - lovely sunshine here today. The silent disco sounds like a great idea. NB - I am an early bird checking desks this week - no Tilly today! xx Jo
Hi Caro, no snow here, we've had a couple of flurries, but each only lasted minutes, so nothing stuck.Great Valentines card, and the disco does sound hilarious!Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #1 X
You can keep the snow, thank you - today is the first day for a week that we haven't had high winds so I'm happy! Love the idea of a silent disco, everyone can make fools of themselves without worrying ;-). That's a lovely Valentine card, so lovely and reminds me that I need to make/buy something for G!

I'm doing a whistle stop tour of all my favourite desks before I make my next Memory bear [and this one is for a very special little girl to take to her new adoptive home...what lovely jobs eh?].
Oh how funny the disco sounded....what fun. Love the card you made. We've had a little snow but thankfully ours didn't stay long.
Hugs,

Oh look at that snow, it always looks lovely when it first falls. If only it could stay looking like that then melt away whilst we sleep. Hope you didn't get too snowballed :D Lovely Valentines card, any splodge just makes things more unique in my eyes, hope you have an extra special day tomorrow.

The silent disco sounds hilarious. Hope you keep the snow there .. Helen #2
The card is looking great - I can't see a splodge so I'm not sure if you've cleverly masked it or my eyesight is getting worse! I love the idea of a silent disco - it sounds like great fun.
I'm hoping we don't get snow, it's beautiful to look at but I can fall over just looking at it!
Stay warm and cozy,
Diana x #20
The silent disco does sound like fun - although Alex looks even happier with that snowball in his hand! Keep that tea mug topped up and stay warm!

I agree the silent disco is so much fun. My friend's daughter got married last year and they had a silent disco, what a hoot! especially as some of the people there were slightly drunk with the champagne they had earlier and for anyone not wearing the earphones you could actually sit and have a conversation...heaven! Wishing you a lovely happy and creative woyww, Angela x16x
Oh dear, I do not like it snowing when I have to travel and I have a podiatry appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed it misses us. Lovely photo of Alex enjoying it and a lovely photo of the two of you at the silent disco. Sounds like great fun for all and I would love to see a video of the whole procedure.
A lovely Valentine card and I cannot see a black smudge so all is well and I am sure Tim will love it, and you.
Have a wonderful week and enjoy the weekend, especially if it snows more for you.
Blessings. Neet 9 xx
ps I hadn't seen you tucked in before Diana
Oh Caro, my hubby and I laughed out loud at your description of the silent disco! What a brilliant idea and absolutely hilarious! I wonder who came up with that idea! I love your Valentine card - fabulous brushos and the heart is lovely. What gorgeous papers you've got to choose from, as well - lovelmy y rich dark colours. I think I'm ahead of everyone else this year with Valentine card - I made it several weeks ago. The only trouble now is... where the heck did I put it??!!!
Snow! Wow! I love the snow but we don't very often get it down in the English Riviera lol! The land of palm trees... We did have very heavy snow a couple of years ago and our back steps up to the garden looked like a ski slope and all our geraniums died.
Thank you for your visit and especially for your continuing prayers - I so appreciate them, and your friendship and support. By the grace of the Lord I am normally very upbeat and happy and despite various difficulties I live what I consider to be a full and fulfilling life! I'm up and down with the ME and as you know, it can be very unpredictable. I just have to go with the flow, and do what I can when I can. If I can get in the kitchen and cook I'm pretty happy, and if I can do that AND go in the studio, well, that's perfect! I was making a huge mess on my new Tim Holtz glass media mat this p.m. with gesso. Amazingly it all cleared up and the mat looks like new again. I'm so glad you like my colouring efforts. I love Kaffe and his riotous colours - I remember once he said he had no colour theory!!
What are you preaching on this Sunday? I hope your preparations were satisfactory. My hubby did the service last Sun. and I had every intention of going but I didn't manage to get my sluggish self out of bed in time...
Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Hello Caro. Love the card. The 'silent disco' sounds such fun. Thanks for popping by. Anne x @17
We had snow but only for the afternoon and it was gone by morning thank goodness. A silent disco sounds like fun Caro. I like the Valentine's card! Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #8
Oh my word, luckily not a trace of snow here. Ergh. The silent disco sounds hilarious, I’ve watched a couple of tv programmes that have them in the stories and they look quite bizarre! I have to say that the sermon prep looks a bit more involved then ever I have imagined...I thought it was a bit like blogging...come up with something to say and make it relevant! I’m happy to see you’ve made a card for your beloved, it’s lovely, and whatever the black pen did, at least you didn’t just walk away!
