WOYWW 602

Another week has just flown by... and it is time to show you my desk again courtesy of Julia's What's on Your Workdesk blog hop.

My desk is mostly filled by my computer - I have been preparing photos for printing for my diary.  You can also see evidence of wrapping (papers hiding my mug, scissors and selotape) but not a lot else.

Work is insane at the moment, but I have managed to swim on occasion.  The water temperature is down to 6 degrees now which makes the skin tingle and is really invigorating.

Not much more to report this week, so I am keeping it short and sweet this week and I will finish with this picture of Alex squashing me (he is now taller than me!). I hope that you all have a wonderful week. Take care and stay safe.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

Your flushed cheeks belie the temperature!

My son once complained to me that all of his friends grew taller than their moms quite early but he had to wait till he was nearly ready to leave for Uni before he was taller than me! He found that annoying LOL!Lucky you to have yours still at home with you!

Happy too close to Christmas WOYWW!

Morning Caro. Hope you are soon finishing work for a break. I imagine all your students are now home and teaching is again all on-line. I cannot believe Alex is now taller than you - how he has grown since I first looked at pictures of him on your posts!
Take care. God bless.

I love seeing your swimming pics...it makes me shudder but can understand the good it does for you. The last photo made me smile because even as an adult my Dad loved to sit me on his knee :-)

These sons eh? One minute they’re hugging your knees and the next minute they’re towering over you! Handy for fetching things out of tall cupboards though, lol!! I’m glad you’re still managing to have a swim despite work trying to get in your way - hope you’ll have time to stop and unwind very soon.

I struggle to wash my hands under cold water, plunging in it would be a no no for me so i admire you so much and put your gorgeous skin down to this swimming you do.
Well, at 5'10" I thought I was going to remain the tallest in the family but son soon caught up and ended up at 6'5" so watch out Alex will be towering above you before you know it.
Blessings, Neet 16 xx

Hi Caro, what a hard year and I bet you are really ready for rest. I felt quite shivery when I saw you all dressed for the swimming again but it obviously does you good and if you enjoy it it's got to be worthwhile just please don't make it compulsory Lol! Good to see Alex doing so well too, he's got your eyes for sure. Stay safe and have a very happy woyww Angela x12x.

It’s great to see you’re still getting a swim, I realise that some days the getting there and the dressing and journeying homes is longer than the swim itself, but it matters not. Am thinking of my silliness over trying to walk down big steps into a chill off swimming pool without shrieking!! I am willing you to break up now, so that you can make the most of daylight and not have to stay up all night, because that must be the only way you get everything done. Love to see Alex is still happy to horse about with you, mine used to do it to stop me watching something she didn’t want to see on the tv!!

I would call 6 degrees shockingly bone chilling LOL not invigorating! I'm sure it's a particular mind set you need to get into that cold water - and I just don't have it in me! The other day my shower wasn't producing enough hot water - it was just luke warm - and I even found that unpleasant! What can I say, I'm just a wimp LOL! Happy swimming and happy #602! zsuzsa #27

Caro, I continue to be in awe of your swimming antics! Can we all just say....brrrrrrhhhhhhh!!! LOLOL Your son is just the cutest! My youngest daughter (she's 17) likes to sit on and squish me as well! All the while as she sings and bounces until I laugh so hard I cry!! I love it. I know one day I will miss it terribly! The Merriest of Christmas to you and your son and many blessings! Felicia #31

Hi, Caro,

I am engaged in the "thermostat" war with the Hubster. Seeing pictures of you in that cold water is not helping my situation!" :D)

Hope you have a great day!

Oh Caro - 6 degrees - my goodness you are hardy! I'm glad you are managing to fit in some fun despite the pressures of work. Hopefully you'll be breaking up for the holidays soon and take things a little easier.

Sorry to hear how busy you are with work, Caro, but glad you can still go swimming! Love the pic of you all wrapped up afterwards! As for Alex being taller than you, he must have shot up recently. My best friend from school, who isn't very tall, always said she got a crick in her neck, looking up at her son in order to wag her finger at him lol!

Have a great week and God bless, and happy WOYWW,

Ooops - meant to say thanks for your visit - glad you like the cute kitties both real and crochet! I'm hoping things will get back to normal again with my prescription next month but as it's happened twice now, I don't hold out much hope. It's disappointing that they can't identify the problem because it leaves me feeling frustrated and impotent, just how I feel over all the hospital nonsense I've had to put up with!!

love seeing your wild swimming photos, I havent been able to go at all this year, which seems really odd as I have swum in rivers since I was about 12 years old(grew up fishing and playing in rivers as a wee kid). Hope work is as manageable as it can be (well, you know what I mean, long shifts, adjustments etc) and thanks for visiting my desk already.
