WOYWW 624 (12th year Anniversary!)

Welcome back to my blog for the 12 year anniversary of WOYWW (What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday) hosted brilliantly and lovingly by the wonderful Julia, Queen of the Desks. I originally joined this happy gang just after the 1st anniversary and had a four year hiatus in the middle before returning, and I do love the fun and warmth of the weekly desk hop around the world.

Here is my desk as it looked yesterday (today it is a work desk so just laptop on it).  You can see my two main journals (the one on the left is a bullet journal, the one on the right my general journal) and various pencils and pens as I update them.  Towards the back you can see my mug of tea (nearly empty), and a postcard and ATC that arrived from Jan. At the very back of my desk is a large envelope containing a card of a local scene (couldn't locate a postcard, this was the next best thing), and an ATC and various little bits for my swap person this week.  My ATCs to all other agreed swaps have now gone in the post.

This is the close up of Jan's lovely postcard and ATC. Isn't her watercolour beautiful!

Crafting wise this week I have finished my ATCs (I will show them another time so they are a surprise for the recipients) and got my diary up to date so here are the diary pages.

The weather has been insane so I have swum in both rain and shine (I managed to avoid the hailstorms), with this place being the most magical swim this week (moody and overcast). Especially as once I got out of the water a family of goslings came swimming gently by.

I had to leave you with this hilarious photo of me doing my best impression of a mermaid in rather murky water! Happy Anniversary everyone...here's to another 12 years! I look forward to when we can celebrate together in person. Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,

Caro

Hi Caro, I turned out to be your PIF, but I 've already received your ATC, so please send it to someone else (maybe to Debbie in return for hers? As I'm swapping with almost everyone, it was bound to happen! Thank you so much for the lovely ATC and the little washi stickers - I can sure use them in my projects! Love the underwater mermaid shot - so surreal! You really are at home in the water! My parents used to tell me I will grow fins if I don't get out of the water when I was little - you must have grown fins by now! Happy anniversary - look out for my ATC arriving soon! xx zsuzsa #17

Hi Caro
Happy WOYWW anniversary.
I love your pictures of you swimming, I am so envious but can't find any where locally to swim outdoors.
Your diaries are so creative, my attempts at doing diaries are very poor by comparison.
Thanks for sharing

Happy 12th WOYWW Caro! I’m glad the ATC arrived so promptly and that you like it - funnily enough, yours to me has just arrived, thank you so much, I do love the bright blues and greens you chose for the background, I tend to use more muted tones all the time, much try something new! And the flowers too, I’m going to use them in the yarnbombing projects if that’s ok? Great pics of your journal and the swimming, you really are turning into a Yorkshire Mermaid!

Thank you so much for your lovely ATC and the pretty extras. We're really had all manner of weather down here that seems to change within minutes. I did chuckle at your mermaid picture - my one computer game indulgence is a Harry Potter mystery and I have just got to the part where I have to go into the Black Lake and talk to the mermaids. It looks very much like your photo in the water there! Anyway, happy anniversary! Lisa-Jane, #2

I have to admit that your journals are at least a part of why I started the 100 Days project in the manner I did, with journaling. I love seeing yours every week - them and your cold-water swimming. Got your ATC and will strive to get the return one into the mail by Saturday! I need a day to recover from my treatments (they do wear me out) and hopefully you will see it in your mailbox before the next WOYWW!

Happy 12th Anniversary to all my desk-hopping mates!

Hi Caro. Happy anniversary. Loving the mermaid impression... and just look at those diary pages. I can't manage to keep a diary properly with just appointments - so would stand no chance of anything else! Thank you for your lovely comments about my grandson - I know he is in God's hands, and my daughter and son in law know that this is the right way forward and all within God's plan - not easy, but they have a peace in amidst the nerves!
Take care. God bless.

Hi, Caro!

Happy Anniversary to you too! I am so happy to be a part of this little community! And to "meet" you.

Those little goslings sure brought a smile. I never have my camera ready at those precious moments.

Take care, stay safe.

Happy Wednesday

Well done, keeping up your journal so faithfully, Caro. It's a real keepsake. Love the swimming photos this week, especially the mermaid impression one, and fancy sharing the waters with that adorable little family of goslings! Thank you for your visit and for your kind thoughts and prayers. The Hebrews quote is one of my favourites, but Christian friends tease me because I'm always saying (about so many different verses) - "That's my favourite verse in the Bible!" and they always say, "What - another one?!" Haha! My hubby is absolutely thrilled with the kitty throw - as are the real kitties! Wish you could come and give them a real cuddle for yourself.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Won’t it be great to talk about a real crop!! I’ve received your card ATC and gifts, thank you Caro, your kindness is lovely. WOYWW wouldn’t be the same without you. And your time management skills are second to none, I am in awe. Talk about give a busy person a job...! And don’t be modest about it, just look at your diary and journal...packed daily! I love the mermaid shot, in that turquoise suit you really could be a mermaid...specially if you had your hair free. I understand why you haven’t though!

Caro, THANK you for visiting my desk this week and LAST! I did read your post and was unable to get around to everyone!! If you still want to swap ATCs let me know and I'm happy to! I know you said you've already gotten your promised ones in the mail, so if I missed out, no worries!! Next time perhaps! LOL As usual, I love looking at your desk because your journal ALWAYS makes me smile! You are so studious with it and keep it up daily! It's something I would "like" to do, but sadly I find a million and one other things to do instead! LOL That is a precious piece of memories for you and your son in years to come! Your beautiful swimming smile, is a constant joy for everyone else and we enjoy seeing your pix....and wish we were as daring! LOLOL The geese photo is toooo cute as well as your "mermaid" shot! Hi Caro, happy 12th Anniversary. Here's to the next 12 years, and meeting up again at a future crop! I love the mermaid murky pic! You are committed to keeping your journal up to date, I wish I were as dedicated! I'm also still waiting to redecorate some rooms after we had rewiring done, a couple of years ago, so I hope your house doesn't take as long! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #20

ooh loving your journal update and swimming too, I certainly need to get some thermal swimming gloves (I have the socks but since being diagnosed with Raynauds I think I need gloves) as I SO miss wild swimming. A perfect way to disconnect and love your mermaid impression too :-)

Hi Caro! Happy 12th Anniversary! Sorry I'm so late, the days just get away from me somehow. Thank you for your visit to mine, and for all the congrats about the new Grandbaby. She is so cute, and already giving her Mama all sorts of trouble (well, she's a Taurus!) It's so nice to have lovely weather to swim in I'm sure, and I love the underwater photo. Your journal is so awesome, I love how you do it! It will be so much fun to go back and revisit them in the future.
Have a wonderful week, Lindart #36
