WOYWW 638?

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Apologies to anyone I failed to visit last week, life got a little out of control again - I will try to do better this week.

This is my desk as it was on Sunday - playing with inks and paints to try and catch up with my ICADs - 9 left to go! You can see watercolours, stamps, inks, brushes and of course my trusty mug of tea.

Here are the most recent ICADs - playing with different things here.

That is all the crafting I have done as I have spent some time with different members of my family, including swimming with Alex. This is my Uncle Geoff, celebrating his 70th birthday with a rather damp barbeque (thank goodness for the gazebo).

These are my in-laws who we had a flying visit with in Wales, which inevitably included going in the sea!

That's all from me for now, I am off to take Alex out go-karting with 3 friends as a much belated birthday party, so will try and comment later.  Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,
Caro

WOYWW 637 (I think!)

Hello and Welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on your Workdesk Wednesday, the lovely blog hop hosted by Julia.

This is my desk as it was yesterday evening, various washi stickers, my bullet journal in which I write my timetable for the day, my to do list and then record the events of the day and exercise taken in the evening. Each page has a similar layout and I add just a few stickers for interest and colour.

I have done some other crafting this week and have mostly caught my main little journal (the one where I put photos in) up to date.... I am just a week behind now which is pretty good going.  These are the latest pages so you can see how far behind I was.

Some of you will have realised that I was missing last week. This is because I went on an mini-adventure with Alex - a 2 day jaunt to London to see Everybody's Talking About Jamie. The show was incredible, and both of us really got into it, cheering certain speeches and all the songs and gave it a standing ovation at the end. I thoroughly recommend going to see it if you get the chance. We packed a lot into our trip to London including seeing the London Dungeon, going on the London Eye, seeing the Holocaust exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, clambering round HMS Belfast for 2.5 hours, eating at Borough Market, and shopping.

I mentioned last week that Alex had recently got back into Warhammer - well we discovered that there is a Warhammer World in Nottingham, so we took Tim with us (he played Warhammer as a teenager) and spent a happy morning exploring all the amazing dioramas and painting. That's all from me for now.  Take care and keep safe.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

WOYWW 635?!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your workdesk Wednesday, the friendly blog hop hosted by the lovely Julia. I have been missing in action for a few weeks due to a combination of house renovation (slow and very messy) and a holiday (more on that later).

My desk is actually very dull this week as all I am doing is catching up with work, and then frantically cleaning up the mess the various workmen are making. So instead of showing my desk I thought I would show Alex's - he is back into his Warhammer and is enjoying sitting at his desk listening to music/radio/YouTube and painting.

The only crafting I have managed is keeping my bullet journal up to date - a little bit of decoration on each page!

You probably saw this on Annie's blog, but here is my lovely BlueTit badge display on the wall above my desk and decorated with the badges I have earnt from my wild swimming so far. These include ice breaker and Arctic Flappers as part of my winter challenges, and the commando badge for not bothering to fight with underwear after a swim (in the winter it is far too cold to wrestle with bra and nickers)!

Last week I was on holiday in Shropshire with my Mum, my brother and his family (picture heavy warning!)...

It was so wonderful to see everyone again and spend some quality time together. We had lots of good walks, visits to Ludlow castle, Ironbridge and Wenlock Priory, a swim in Alderford Lake and a 12 mile canoe on the river Severn... we packed a lot into one week!

What was also wonderful, was the fact that I managed to escape one afternoon and visit Annie! It was so wonderful to sit and chat - we could have talked for ages.  That's all from me for this week, Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,

Caro
