WOYWW 635?!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your workdesk Wednesday, the friendly blog hop hosted by the lovely Julia. I have been missing in action for a few weeks due to a combination of house renovation (slow and very messy) and a holiday (more on that later).

My desk is actually very dull this week as all I am doing is catching up with work, and then frantically cleaning up the mess the various workmen are making. So instead of showing my desk I thought I would show Alex's - he is back into his Warhammer and is enjoying sitting at his desk listening to music/radio/YouTube and painting.

The only crafting I have managed is keeping my bullet journal up to date - a little bit of decoration on each page!

You probably saw this on Annie's blog, but here is my lovely BlueTit badge display on the wall above my desk and decorated with the badges I have earnt from my wild swimming so far. These include ice breaker and Arctic Flappers as part of my winter challenges, and the commando badge for not bothering to fight with underwear after a swim (in the winter it is far too cold to wrestle with bra and nickers)!

Last week I was on holiday in Shropshire with my Mum, my brother and his family (picture heavy warning!)...

It was so wonderful to see everyone again and spend some quality time together. We had lots of good walks, visits to Ludlow castle, Ironbridge and Wenlock Priory, a swim in Alderford Lake and a 12 mile canoe on the river Severn... we packed a lot into one week!

What was also wonderful, was the fact that I managed to escape one afternoon and visit Annie! It was so wonderful to sit and chat - we could have talked for ages.  That's all from me for this week, Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,

Caro

How lovely! All the photos really share the fun you have on your days out and about. Nice to see the journal catch up as well. You have always been an inspiration on that front. It's still a bit like pulling teeth for me LOL! But I do try. Again, an WOYWW meet-up! so nice to see, mates in real life, as well as online. Love the community. Funny one of my oldest UK mates has a son who does quite in depth Warhammer videos on You tube. I want to say...Kill Team? Bet your son will know...

Happy WOYWW.

Great photos and a lovely photo of you and Annie - how wonderful to meet up.
It's no wonder you haven't been crafting much!
Hope you have a great week,

Wow what a lot of badges....maybe you needed longer ribbons? It was so lovely to catch up...we should make time for catching up with friends more often.
Thanks for calling by at mine earlier...I’ve had another manic day so far shortening the sleeves on 4 coats! So far I’ve not heard from my bride so I’m still hoping she comes later.
Hugs,

I love Alex's desk and activities! I wish mine was more into crafting and less into video games. Goodness, he's almost a head taller than you now! Lovely holiday shots - Annie shared the same one last week - it's good that you were able to meet up! Happy #635! xx zsuzsa #25

Hi Caro, it's great to see you all having a good time. I look forward to being able to get away but don't know when that will be. I smiled when I saw Alex in the Stocks I could have done with one of those when I was teaching but not sure the parents would have agreed Lol! Nice to see you were able to meet up with Annie too. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela xXx

Looks like everyone had a great time on their holidays. I loved reading about your wild swimming badges, the winter ones sound challenging, but it also sounds like fun. Happy WOYWW! Elle #20 this week

Ohhhhh what a great holiday Caro!! Love all the shots. The first shot has a gorgeous view in the background!! Is that your backyard or where you were staying on holiday! I am so envious either way!! You must know that the UK, Wales and the such are on my Bucket List. Not the touristy places, but the countryside!! One day, one day!! How lovely also that you got to see Annie! I am sure you guys had good fun chatting!! Thanks for stopping in on my desk! I emailed you a while back with my addy, not sure if you ever got it. I know you've been busy, so no worries on that score, but just making sure you got my email! We will catch up eventually! By the way you have ruined me with telling me where you got your press on's for your journal!! I'm in LOVE with Lin Chia Ning and want EVERYTHING they make!! Uggghhh! LOL Blessing to Caro! Lovely to see the family photographs. Alex is taller than you now! So was someone taking note with the bra and knickers? Happy WOYWW Angela #15

Oh Warhammer, we had a bit of that, in fact still have a cupboard full of it, but the hobby waned quite quickly with my son. Oh and the knickers and swimming. I never liked going swimming at school part due to the getting dressed whilst still damp so can totally relate. Still hate swimming though LOL. Happy WOYWW BJ#24

Lovely to see a set of family photos like the ones you are showing us. That holiday looks like a lot of fun from start to finish.
You must be so proud of all those badges, it's like being a mini Olympian with all of those.
Glad your Alex is into all these activities rather than just sitting glued to a tv screen as some are. he's a healthy looking boy.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

The Commando badge made me hoot!! That’s so funny and quite understandable too…the badges display is fantastic and well earned. We’ve had a good couple of holidays in Shropshire, it’s a beautiful place - great to catch up with Annie too!!

It looks like it was a fabulous trip Caro, I had to smile over the Commando button and (were those stocks you put Alex in?) (that looks so uncomfortable, like he is already too tall for it ) ~Stacy #31

What a lovely post, Caro. Great to see Alex's desk with all the paints out - it looks very industrious! What great family holiday photos too. Shropshire is so beautiful! I had a holiday there many years ago (probably before you were born lol!!). I laughed out loud at Alex in the stocks! Well done for getting all those great badges for your swimming, and it must have been so much fun meeting up with Annie.

Thank you for your visit, and for your good wishes for my appointment next week. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my various activities this week. I've made a start on my die storage now and I think it's going to be great.

Happy belated WOYWW and God bless,

Enjoyed reading and looking at what you have been up to.
I haven't been active on WOYWW for such a long time and I lost my Artistic mojo ages ago. I am hoping for inspiration looking at prolific artists like yourself.

loved your holiday snaps.
