WOYWW 655 - wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, which is hosted by the lovely Julia.

Here is my desk in all its chaotic nature this morning featuring small stocking presents, a couple of presents for friends, my bullet journal, stickers and pens, a to do list and a cup of tea.

No crafting this week really other than keeping my bullet journal up to date (my other journal has been sadly neglected) and wrapping presents.  Instead I have been working in the kitchen and starting to get things back into cupboards etc.  It is looking much more inhabitable (still needs painting and a nice floor but that will come in the new year) and I am thrilled with how it looks - so much better than what was there before (a pokey dark kitchen room and small dining room). Even my men folk agree it is an improvement!

I have had some spectacular swims this week, both in glorious sunshine and in the mist - this is the same location on two different days - isn't it stunning!

I will leave you with a photo of Alex standing next to one of the decorations in Sheffield to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

I’m doing the rounds of all my favourite blogs in between making strawberry/sherry trifles ready for our family get togethers.....the jelly is just setting a little before I put it on (don’t want to dilute the sherry 😂). I’ve got no sewing today so making the most of my time.
Your kitchen is really looking lovely...I can see why your thrilled with it.
I just want to thank you for your friendship and for all the lovely comments over the last year. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and 2022 is a little kinder on us all.
Hugs,

Your desk is so neat and tidy and your kitchen looks great. Immaculate in fact. No wonder you are proud of it's new look.
Lovely scenery in the photos, for me - as long as I am not in the water. Brrr....
Nice Christmas picture of your son. You could make cards for next year with that one.
Christmas Blessings, Neet 3 xx

Hi Caro, the kitchen looks amazing. I'm guessing you must have had a wall taken out but can't remember what it was like before. Pleased you've got some swimming in this week and loving the Christmas bauble. We actually managed to go to Meadow Hall a few weeks ago and it was quite nice and quiet but bet it's not now. Wishing you a very happy woyww Christmas. Hugs Angela x11x

Love those atmospheric shots of the misty lake - I would gladly go boating on it, as long as I can keep myself dry! Yay for the kitchen! Wishing you and your family a lovely, joyful Christmas together! xx zsuzsa #21

Your kitchen is looking fabulous, in fact until you mentioned it I didn't realise the floor and walls even needed doing! I love the atmospheric photos of where you swim - they look so silent and peaceful - what a place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Hope you have happy and peaceful Christmas, stay safe and well,

Hello Caro, I'm so happy to see your new kitchen looking very nice, and functional too. And just in time for Christmas. I'd love to get a table in my kitchen. I'd spend much more time in it if there was one. The photos of where you swim are beautiful, even the foggy ones. Have a great week and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Elizabeth x #22

What a lovely new room! I get it. Our kitchen was a horrorshow, all ornate blue cupboards and dark, dingy lighting. Now all white and bright and suck an improvement. I also think the same place, two days shots are fab, as is your dear son n front of the bauble of light. Just a lovely holiday post!

A most Merry and Happy Christmas to you and yours! Stay safe and well this holiday season. And Happy WOYWW!

Oh wow super post, love the kitchen/diner, what is the flooring? Our needs an update and I love what I see all round. Beautiful swim photos so calm and serene, love the blue reeds one best. And that's certainly a bauble worthy of a photo, excellent. Have a Happy Christmas, hugs BJ#13

Ah Caro, your boy grows so! I love the big lit baubles that have sprung up this year, they are so cheerful! Your kitchen is quite a lovely space to behold, I’m so glad you're pleased with it, makes the upheaval feel a little less disturbing, I’m sure you will have many happy hours in there, specially around that table. It’s very welcoming.
Wishing you three a very happy Christmas, and sending love for the New Year. Xxx
