Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you are all well and enjoying the spring sunshine. After a bit of a gap due to crazy life stuff involving no sitting room floor, preaching, GCSE revision support etc, I am back to post for the 14th Anniversary of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. 14 years since Julia started this friendliest of all blog hops and just under 13 years since I first joined it.
This is my desk as it is tonight. Rather empty other than a pile of journals (prayer journal, daily journal, swim journal) and a couple of Bible study books. The black is a neoprene mat that covers the whole desk and hides all the cut and score marks of years of crafting, and provides a nice surface for gaming on. Regular readers will notice that my mug of tea is missing - please don't worry - I took the photo when Tim had kindly taken my mug for a top up!
I haven't had a huge amount of time for crafting as Alex (who is now 16 and over 6ft) started his GCSEs this week and I have been needed to test, encourage, nag and help with revision planning, marking etc. ADHD means that he finds self organisation and motivation hard so Mum to the rescue/nag. Hopefully it will all pay off. I am certainly looking forward to our holiday when it is all over.
Here are just a couple of my recent cards. If anyone would like to swap an ATC with me for the anniversary please leave a note in the comments and I will post it out to you next week.
For those who are wondering - yes, I did swim through the winter again, although a shoulder injury has slowed me down somewhat and I am having physio to help me get back to it properly. It is just beautiful at this time of year sharing the water with the goslings.
That's all from me for now. Have a very Happy Anniversary and let me know about swaps.
With love & God Bless,
Caro

Oh my! Look how he's grown. I love seeing your cold-water-swim photos and thank you for your inspiration to begin some sort of (far inferior) form of daily journalng. I am not so good that I manage every day but I do get to it most days. I will happily swap with you, and believe I have your address (unless you moved? from the home of Knives :D vague enough?)
so let me know!
Happy 14th Anniversary WOYWW

Happy 14th WOYWW!! Seeing Alex now is a reminder of how the years have gone past, I remember him as a small boy when you first joined and look at him now!! Hope the GCSEs go ok. I’ve got a spare atc if you’d like to swap!
Hugs LLJ 8 xx
Seeing the beauty is a choice and a skill that you possess in abundance. It’s nice to see your desk, I must say the neoprene is a great idea, and also makes it look HUGE! a I did notice the lack of a mug, I look at it as a sort of clock on your desk, to see how much time you’ve managed to sit at it, a mugs’ worth or more!! Good luck to Alex, I know the nag/motivate thing very well and I know it’s exhausting. miss Dunnit has ADHD too, a late diagnosis which explains so much…she has acknowledged that although I nagged (and I DID), it helped. We did strategise coping mechanisms for what I thought was just her clumsy and mismanaging nature, and I’m to sure that knowing it was ADHD would have made any difference to how I had to ‘help’; I hope you can continue to roll with it! Solo gaming and swimming are definitely your power breakers during such busy times.
Happy WOYWW, its good to see you fir this special week . Hope your shoulder improves , I thought we hadn't seen much swimming ! Helen #5

Goodness Alex reallly is al grown up, good luck with revision/nagging - I remember it as a fairly stressful time!! (I'd given up by the time we got to A levels).
Hope your shoulder injury hasn't slowed you down too much - as for swimming through the winter - well there are days I haven't even been OUT the front door so kudos to you. Happy WOYWW Anniversary, love n hugs Cindy #7 xx
Gosh, such a tall young man. My son is 6'4" so I know what it is like to be a tall woman who suddenly can feel tiny, if just for a few minutes now and then. Good eh?
Good luck with the revision, I am sure it will all pay off in the end.
Also with the shoulder, hope the injury is short lived now and you return to your love of swimming in that cold cold water.
Blessings, Neet x14 x

Happy 14th WOYWW! My goodness you are busy! I hope you can soon get back to your swimming (I never have learnt to swim with confidence) Hugs, Chrisx
It was wonderful to see you this week. Sorry to read about your shoulder. I can relate because I hurt mine and am typing with one hand. Your desk is always so tidy. I can't believe Alex is so grown up. I remember when we first met on this blog hop, he was a very small child who loved model cars and going to museums.
Wendy still loves your button you sent. We are so grateful to have "met" you. Happy 14th Anniversary from # 3.
Oh WOW over 6' tall at 16yrs, mine stopped at 5'8" and is now 24yrs but he did surpass me when he was 13yrs, not difficult really!! I'm 5' and a splodge. Oh the GSCE days I remember them well and so worth the mummy effort you put in, can't wait for you to be singing his praises when the results come through in the Summer. Thanks for saving a SWAP for me, I've got your address now so will sort it as soon as I get the rest of the SWAP adresses. Happy anniversary Hugs BJ#18
Happy 14th Caro and good luck to Alex- exams are so stressful.
Glad you’re having physio for your shoulder and I hope it’s better soon.
