Back to work!

It is always strange going back to work after time away, but I finally feel that I am getting on top of the enormous backlog of paperwork which is a relief and I have had positive news in that two of my papers have been accepted for publication. Although Alex is clearly missing Daniel, Grandma and Juno as he constantly asks to see or phone them, he has adapted well to going back to nursery full time. He is very happy there during the day and extremely entertaining for us morning and evening, despite being really tired through not sleeping properly. We have been playing with vehicles and his garage mostly, with a bit of dancing and music making thrown in for good measure. He still loves his games of rough and tumble and the squeals of laughter can be heard down the street. I have been busy scrapbooking more photos of Alex in the form of this layout featuring his hat obsession. The layout is entitled ‘You have a thing about hats’ and uses a mixture of different stamps (Hero Arts, Purple Onion & Stamps Away) with K&Co papers. The journaling reads ‘Having hated wearing hats all through the summer, Alex developed a sudden obsession with wearing them inside or out, even going to bed wearing one’. The next layout follows sketch #141 from Pencil Lines and is entitled ‘Gruffalo’. I have used papers/cardstock from Bazzil, Penny Black, Basic Grey and Making memories, Sizzix dies, and Angel kiss flowers. The journaling reads ‘Alex loves the Gruffalo and can often be heard shouting ‘Oh help! Oh no! Its Guffloo’. Finally I have made my sister in laws birthday card using my nestabilities (Labels one, oval and scalloped oval) and a cuttlebug embossing folder. This card actually fits with the sketch this week from Card positioning systems and with the challenge by My time to craft which is to use no patterned paper. I would love to know what you all think. Have a great rest of the week everyone.
Love,
Caro
