It is my Birthday this week and I am being spoilt rotten with a special treat on every day so far! I have opened presents and cards in bed (helped by Alex who got very over excited about it all - hence pulling a silly face!), been taken to Starbucks for hot chocolate and cup cakes, taken out for a pub lunch, given a beautiful bunch of flowers and today while Alex is at nursery Tim and I will be going to the cinema. I also have tomorrow off work for a major crafting session getting to grips with my new crafting toys!
In the run up to my birthday I decided that I needed to have a major overhaul of my crafting corner so that I would actually have room to fit in my new presents! Therefore as part of this weeks WOYWW I thought I would show you the fruits of my labours! This is the billy bookcase that stands adjacent to my desk...I emptied it completely and threw away the accumulated rubbish and some card magazines from 6 years ago (I decided only to keep the scrapbooking & craft stamper magazines, magazines that I have been featured in and the most recent cardmaking ones), which resulted in much more space. I also put everything away in their proper containers rather than just shoving them any where on the shelves. It looks like I have much more space which is nice.
It is just as well really because look at this pile of lovely goodies. These are my crafting presents from Tim, Alex and one of my best friends, Julia! The presents include my first ever Whiff of Joy stamps (I have always loved them), Crafty Individual stamps, scrapbook papers, embellishments and several sets of promarkers. I am a newbie to the promarker thing, and have never used them before so I am looking forward to experimenting later.
With all the tidying and birthday celebrations I haven't managed to do much in the way of actual crafting so far this week, but did make this little card to fit with the OLL 'nothing floral' and Pollycraft 'anything goes' challenges. I am also entering this into the Simon says 'Halloween' challenge. I don't really do halloween and don't have anything truly appropriate, but thought that the black cat against the orangey sky might be appropriate. Have a great rest of the week everyone!
Love,
Caro
