Snow much fun! (WOYWW)

Sorry about the pun in the title, it just had to be done, not least because we had 6 inches of snow here when we woke up on Monday morning.
This didn't mean a complete day off in the snow for us though, as Alex's school opened at 10am and closed at usual time.  However, it did mean that the walk to school was on the sledge (for the downhill stretches).
And a great time sledging down the really steep pathway after school.
Today the snow was still there, so it was more sledging after school (this should be a video if it works),
as well as a reasonable snowman being built in the slightly more sticky melting snow.
This morning before our walk to school Alex decided that he wanted to (a) dress up as a skeleton (don't ask me why) and (b) make a cardboard ipad - he loves my new toy! So here he is having stencilled the apple symbol on the back of his ipad.
Here is my desk as it was on Tuesday evening for my entry to WOYWW (it is currently empty as I am being good about putting things away after use - mostly because I need an empty desk for Alex to craft at!). At the back and to the left you can see my new ipad, and to the right of it my trusty mug of tea. The rest of the desk is covered with my smash book, with pictures laid out on it while I try and work out the layout of the pages, and various other smash book related items, including tags and washi tape.
This is the finished smash book page all about my new ipad - this smash book is my diary for the year and I am trying to document at least one thing that happens each week - I figured that the arrival of a longed for ipad warranted a double page spread!  I am entering this page into CCCB 'hearts' as there are numerous hearts on this page, and SSSS 'what are you known for' as I am mostly known for keeping a journal and photographing anything that stays still long enough!
My other crafting endeavour of this week was to scrapbook some Christmas photos, so this layout is being entered into Lasting Memories 'Christmas 2012' challenge. However, I have to confess that as my scrapbook is over 12 months out of date, this layout is actually from Christmas 2011 - I hope that they don't mind! I actually used the righthand side of Sketch #248 from 'Nuts about sketches' for this layout and used Bo Bunny and Bazzil papers, and K&Co stickers. Apologies for the flash glare...I just couldn't get a decent photo in this light.
That is all from me for now.  Have a great rest of the week everyone and stay safe.
Love,
Caro

Loved the video - he's such a happy little chappie, isn't he!?!??!
New ipad definitely warranted a double page spread - busy, busy desk and good on you for clearing up afterwards - that's my new year resolution but I'm struggling to keep it up!!
Happy WOYWW

Lovely LOs there - they made me smile...as did the snow shots and Alex making his own iPad. That shows entrepreneurial skills :)

So glad to receive your email - your prize will be winging its way to you probably next week now, when the postal system gets up and running again!

Hugs, LLJ 37 xx

Brilliant snowman, such wonderful buttons and eyes, so glad you've had a chance to enjoy the snow. Glad to that you seem to be enjoying your ipad, I love mine as you know, but I do have some HUGE issues with it's relationship to Google/blogger!

Congrats on your new ipad. Isn't the imagination of a child great? I wish we had some snow here. It's in the forecast - I've got my fingers crossed. April #110

Love your snow pictures and the video!! We had another dusting last night (not in the forecast which said it wouldn't settle!) but it had largely gone before that. Your desk looks fabulous today. My tag would have been ok if I hadn't messed up the stamping... not shown that!! Helen, 9
