A long weekend away (and WOYWW)

I'm running late for WOYWW again this week, with an apology that I didn't get to see so many of you last week.  The reason was that Alex and I went away again for a long weekend to the South coast to see my Aunt, parents, cousin, brother and respective families. We had a fabulous time including boat rides to the beach,
swimming in the sea (the goggles are new and Alex insisted on wearing them as sunglasses!),
building sandcastles (with Grandad), sand forts and playing boules
fossil hunting with Mummy
and swimming in a friends swimming pool.  Alex swam a width of the pool for the first time. It was a great weekend and I only returned home yesterday (straight into work today).
As a result there is not a lot happening on my desk this week.  The pile of stamps is still at the back waiting to be put away, to the left there is a pile of paperwork waiting for me to have time to sort it, and finally my trusty mug of tea (sadly nearly empty now).
That is all from me for now.  Have a nice week everyone.
Love
Caro

What a wonderful seaside adventure you shared with your family! Looks like a fabulous adventure!

A clean desk means you will be ready to tackle some crafting without much clean-up!

Enjoy your WOYWW journey!

Your desk is surprisingly unassuming this week (grin), but you more than made up for it with your lovely vacation photos. I can tell everyone had a good time, too.

Thanks for visiting me earlier, and happy WOYWW from #1.

Caro,

Congratulations Alex you are a champion in making it across that is really big boy stuff. Sadly Caro, no crafting but what a weekend you have had, sounds like you really had a good time. Is it me or the beach but the sand looks muddy?

Happy WOYWW

What lovely photos, Caro. A great weekend. We have some great pictures of two of our grandchildren in a boat, all dressed in sailing gear. Great stuff. Glad you had such a good time away.

Working and school holidays are difficult enough, without worrying about blog visits. really don't worry..we all want to be understood to be flexible. Looks like you had a fab week, how brave of Alex to swim in the sea..too chilly for this grown up! Don't tidied and cleared off desks look huge!
