I'm back! (WOYWW)

Well I have been missing in action because we have been off on our family holiday!
We had a wonderful week on the Lincolnshire coast with lots of fun had on the beach (you can't go wrong with a big hole!),
rides, roller coasters and log flume (a personal favourite)
and water fights in the paddling pool, and as a result there hasn't been much in the way of crafting done.
Here is my desk in all its glory for my entry to WOYWW...my mug is downstairs being filled with tea as I type. The interesting envelope at the back left of my desk contains train tickets for my next little jaunt away. Beside it is a pile of stamps that I took on holiday with me and never used, then a CD containing photos of my cousins wedding ready to send to him and a card I made for my brother.  At the front is my most recent piece of crafting, the next page in my smash book.
Here is a close up of it...Alex going to beaver camp. I made the background by sponging distress ink through some random cut shapes, then added Lavinia stamps leaf cluster stamp in green and doodled round the central image.
That is all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
Love

Caro, It looks as if you had an absolutely super holiday and the weather was good for you as well.
I love the picture of your son on the front of that book, he looks as if he really is going to enjoy Beaver camp or has he already been? Anyway he certainly looks happy about it.

Oh, happy, happy days!! I loved our beachy holidays when my boys were young. We stayed in static caravans, dug holes in the sand, climbed rocks...sheer bliss. You look so happy :-)

Lincolnshire beaches always did make the best sandcastles(and sand cars), most of my childhood holidays were near Mablethorpe! Love your desk and the lovely page! Chris 113

Fantastic, Caro. A hole on the beach. We have one son in law who always travels to the seaside with a garden spade in order to make holes, forts, castles, moats....then stands back while the youngsters wait for the incoming tide!!! Great fun.
have a great week.

Glad to see you had a wonderful holiday together in Lincolnshire - not an area of the country I have visited. The nearest I got was a weekend at the Land Rover National at Blankney, several years ago. Apart from that, we usually ended up in Norfolk. It looks as though Alex had a whale of a time. Thank you for your visit this week. xx Maggie #10

Alex is adorable in your smash book, Caro! It looks like you had a marvelous vacation and I like that you never used the stamps you took along. That's how it should be on holiday! Happy Belated WOYWW and enjoy the rest of your week! Darnell #12

Looks like you had a great holiday although I can't imagine the warmth you are experiencing ATM as you are in summer and we are in winter. Alex looks great heading off to beaver camp and a great additional page to your smash book.

Sorry I am getting around to your desk late this week, work got in the way.
