Why ouch? Well surely this photo says it all...Alex tripped over the foot of someone at school while playing football and bust his glasses and scraped his nose in the process. Not only that but he has been on antibiotics for a weak with an infected cut on his hand so he is really in the wars. Oh, and you see that scratch on his forehead? That is from being hit in the head by another pupil with a tennis racket. That isn't counting the scraped knees and elbows either...!
Anyway, it is Wednesday and so time for WOYWW. Here is my desk as it was on Tuesday evening (it hasn't changed much since then), sadly lacking tea which I have just finished. On my desk you can see my smash book with the background to the next page already inked up (I did that on Monday evening) and the photos printed out ready to cut out and add. Apart from that there is not a lot going on...you can see the church notice sheet from Sunday, some small rubber stamps and glitter glue that needs putting away and that is about it.
I have actually had time to do more crafting this week, which is great...this is a digital page I did of our explorations of Chatsworth gardens. I generated it very simply using photoshop (I am no digi master) and then printed and stuck it straight into the smash book.
The next page is entitled 'Maid Carolyn' and is of my archery adventure back in June with the ladies from church. The little article at the bottom is a piece I did for the church magazine on it and yes, two of those arrows in the bulls eye are mine!
Finally I made a card for a friend who retired from work using Lavinia stamps and distress inks. The sentiment was made with JustRite stamps. That is all from me for now. Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

Gorgeous pics of the castle and I love the archery pic. Very sporty. Poor Alex ... although he looks quite happy with his scrape.

Ouch! Thing is, the kids are over it in an instant and it's us Mothers who take offence and worry about all these accidents. Infected cuts are just the pits..mine had an infected bite on her leg -it took ages to clear too. Love the retirement card you made, and really impressed at your bow skills - more power to yoU!
Ouch indeed - but I have to say - he doesn't look too worried about all the bumps and bruises.. kids are amazing, aren't they? Lovely pages and card.
Have a great week.

Poor Alex! Hope he is feeling better soon. Reminds me of my brother when he was a boy, and had a few of these accidents and they always happened around the same time! Love your book, I haven't tried digi yet, yours looks great! I especially love the background of your card! Winnie#79
ouch indeed... at least he's smiling, so he must be alright ;) This reminds me so much of my younger son - he fell with his bike last week and had a HUGE bump on his forehead... which is now in the greenish-yellow state. He has made my heart almost stop so many times already - nothing really serious had ever happened, only looks so dangerous, when something happens. ...knock on wood!
Anyway, just wnated to say" Happy woyww :)

He's a boy! What do you expect?? Lol. I don't think my two ever had a run without some scrapes of some sort.
Love that sunset card btw. Really elegant!

Oh dear, your little guy is sure in the wars at the moment, I do recall that stage when every available bit of skin seemed to scraped off or bruised! Love your smash book pages and its a really good idea to do the odd digi page to get the photos down and dusted as it were! Happy WOYWW from Annette #2
Ouch is right. That looks like it hurts. He is grinning like he is proud of the war wound. lol Happy WOYWW. Peg 109
Wow...your poor boy! With that big smile, he looks as though he hasn't let it get him down!!!
You have been busy creating. Your journal is coming along nicely.
I loved Chatsworth and would love to go again. It would be nice to see it in the spingtime.
Aw bless him - I bet that little nose was sore for a while. Thanks for the lovely comment re Jacquie's workspace - she read my blog and the comments and was really touched by all the positivity. Thanks for the snoop round yours! x Jo

Love your Lavinia card. The colours are great and I do love those dandelions.

So sorry I am getting to you late this week, so much happening this nmonth and time is tight. Oh poor Alex, give him a hug from me, that is 3 things to go wrong so nothing else should happen now. He really has been in the wars.
Great layouts too.
