better late than never.
My desk is looking quite empty this week with some notes about Alex’s
school trip, hiding the envelope containing information about the church
weekend away, my journal with a blank page ready for planning, a pencil, post
it notes and some stamps left over from the last journal page. Even my trusty mug of tea is missing,
although that is because it is currently being filled with tea by Tim.
This is my latest journal page, again based on one of the
recent discipleship sermons, which was all about hospitality. This page was
made using dylusions ink sprays for the background with some heart stamps using
distress inks, then I drew the silhouettes on top and painted them with acrylic
paint. The words are either from the Bible or phrases that stood out for me
from the sermon. Just to finish with I thought I would show you these gorgeous flowers which are everywhere in our neighbourhood as a reminder that Spring is on its way up in the north of the country (no daffodils for us yet though!). I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.
Love
Caro

P.S. Last time I joined in with WOYWW I asked if anyone recognised the picture Alex had drawn - well you were right about the author as it was a Dr Seuss book, but not cat in the hat. It was Oh the places you will go.

Your journal page is lovely, I like you choice of spray inks for the background. And the images are super . Good to know Tim is trained to refill your tea cup!

I thought there was something missing! Good old Tim, making you a refill :-)
Look at that crocus...it can't fail to raise the spirits, can it??

Thanks for visiting earlier, and Yes that cat is always star of the show.
Love your journal pages on Hospitality, such an important subject. And those crocuses are a welcome sign of spring just around the corner.

Oh Caro, what a beautiful journal page you have created. It is wonderful. Great take on the sermon. Love it.
And those crocuses are lovely. Funny but ours are all yellow yet over the years I have planted loads of mixed ones?

Hi, Caro -- what gorgeous crocuses! We still have snow on the ground, so no flowers anytime soon. I like the bright colors (and sentiments) of your journal page. Happy WOYWW on Thursday. ~ Laura #14
Beautiful flowers, looks like spring in springing in your end of the world while we are going into fall. Love what you are doing in your journal. I have just finished listening to a series on discipleship and learnt all about the importance of hospitality. Have a lovely week.

One of the best books ever written ever. No wonder Alex felt the need to illustrate his reading! the crocuses are so pretty aren't they, such a great harbinger. meanwhile, I swear, you have Tim chained to the kettle on WOYWW days!!
Hi Caro...better very late than never to comment too - I decided to have a late week snoop around some WOYWW blogs because I missed heaps this last week and have some time now. Beautiful bright journal page and lovely silhouettes Cheers RobynO#24
