Messy cardmaking (WOYWW)!

Well this is the state of my desk (as my entry to WOYWW) as it was after an emergency card making session...no space even for my mug of tea as I had turned my patterned paper drawer upside down looking for inspiration for the card I needed to make. Hidden under the paper are the ink pads, dylusion inks and stamps I had been using for a journal page which I abandoned when I remembered the card!
Here is the finished card...sadly I didn't get it to the recipient on time, but I hope she liked it.
Part of the reason for my distractibility this weekend was a little sporting event called 'Le Tour de Yorkshire'...Alex and I went up to Kirk Edge road to watch the tour whizz past.
The atmosphere was amazing and we enjoyed every bit...I am glad that we didn't try and go to one of the hills, the crowds were so big we wouldn't have seen as much. That's all for now.  Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

Isn't it crazy how making one little card can create such a mess? Even if you know where all the parts are! The final product was nice though and I'm sure appreciated even if it were tardy. Looks like you've been having fun. I'm sure there was a festival atmosphere as all the bikers went past.

Glad you had a great time at Le Tour. I watched it on the tele and Yorkshire looked fantastic.
Sorry you didn't get your card out in time but I'm sure the recipient loved it anyway.
Have a lovely week

Love the card and how lucky were you to go to see the bike race. Thanks for calling by at mine earlier. It's been a busy day but thankfully I've cleared my sewing mountain now :-)

Hello Caro. Lovely card. I often end up like that - turning the place upside down when I get an idea :-) We certainly thought Le Tour amazing. We watched it at Honley - just before Holmfirth. There was a good crowd but not overwhelming. Matthew was a 'Tour Maker' and we were lucky that he was stationed near home and we could be near him. He was able to be with us when the cyclists went through- meant a lot to him. My D.I.L. couldn't be there as she was working ( a nurse) Happy WOYWW Anne x #35

Hi Caro,

I am always doing last minute cards, I suddenly realise I have run out of time! It is very nice, I think your friend will love it.

Love the selfie, you both have lovely smiles!

You live in a lovely place too and how lucky to see the race!

That's a lovely card - I'm sure it was loved even if it got held up in the post :)

Really great shot of the cyclists - lots of movement - obviously, but you know what I mean. You get a real sense of it :)

I am familiar with my desk looking like that after making a card that should have been made earlier. I work best under pressure - that's what I tell myself anyway. I am sure your friend loved the card - it is adorable. And handmade. :-)

Hello Caro. Great, and encouraging, desk shot this week - amazing how easy it is to get in a rare muddle, isn't it? My space looks terrible after a card making frenzy yesterday! Oh well, never mind! Good fun was had by all. Well done on the cycle shots - glad you enjoyed watching it.
Thanks for visiting and for your comments. I really appreciate your prayers for John at this time. Thank you!
Take care. God bless.
