Where did last week go? The time seems to be flying past at the moment... it is the end of term and end of Primary School for Alex on Friday and I just know I will cry and embarrass him at his leavers assembly (I have been banned from helping at the leavers disco!). Anyway, I digress...
This is my desk in all its chaotic glory for What's on your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW) which is a lovely blog hop round crafting spaces courtesy of Julia. As you can see there is a mug of tea (yes, it is enormous - it holds 1 litre!) and a general mixture of washi tapes, acrylic paints, inks, pens, stencils etc as I was hastily making my latest index card in a 10 minute window! My index cards this week are a pretty eclectic bunch as you can see below...
This was a fun one to draw on an inked background
This one used distress crayons and stencils as well as a stamp and inks
Doodled circles, lots of doodled circles!
Water colours for this one with a Bible quote
An experiment that didnt really work as the paper was too saturated!
Messing with paints and inks.
Last weekend I introduced Alex to the joys and fun of wild swimming - we went in the Derwent near Chatsworth and it was heavenly so I will leave you with a few photos...
That's all for now... Have a nice week.
Love
Caro

Hi Caro, some interesting pieces there. The river photos look like you had a great time. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 XxX
what a delightful wild swim (I can't swim, myself or not very well but it looks so tempting given the weather) Hope you don't get too upset at the leaver's assembly, but I am sure you won't be the only mum who does! Loving all the artwork! Helen #1
I love to see your index cards every week, the last one is my fave this time! Swimming in the wild... it's been ages since i did that. I may live near the beach but I even think it must be over 10 years since I swam in the sea too... Thanks for stopping by my blog just now (I saw your comment come flying in) Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #19
Nice i-cads! Love the swimming pics - looks so cool and refreshing! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #29
In my youth I remember swimming in a pool in a Scottish stream on the borders somewhere - it was really hot day and it was so refreshing. Lots of the locals were also there so it was safe. Hope the end of term celebrations go well. xx Jo
Ooh once again you have some fabulous index cards there - I love the intricate designs and bright colours. What a lovely way to cool off!
Have a great week,

Will pass on your love to Margaret.

Hi Caro, I agree the time is just flying past. Looks like you had a good time swimming. It reminded me when you mentioned Chatsworth, must get tickets for the Game Show as it will be here before you know it. I wonder if you ever manage to drink all that tea before it goes cold Lol! Great collection of projects too. Have a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x11x
Some fun stuff but I really like those doodled circles!
Looks like your swim was great fun! I haven't been swimming in years.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

The iCads are beautiful as always but I think the big pot of tea took my mind away - how many teabags?
Love the water pictures, how lovely to spend time like that with your son - and don't worry about the tears - on my TP years ago in a primary school the head was hellbent on making all the student teachers cry when the practice was finished. I sand "All Things Bright and Beautiful" in my head to stop me hearing her speech, I didnt cry.
Enjoy as what you do.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
Hi Caro, Lovely index cards.
Glad you enjoyed the swimming.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Caro, thanks for visiting already. I went in for the Y8 leavers assembly yesterday even though it was my day off. Lots of tears from the pupils of course. Love the icads, especially the bottom one. Have a great week. Sarah #15
Chaotic glory sounds good to me Caro and I LOVE your oh, so colourful work ... I am very much a grungy, dull & muted type of girl but do SO admire those that can work with such vibrant colours ... they scare me to death! Love to you, Debbie xXx
Fabulous collection of cards, Caro. You've drawn the Paradox Zentangle one very well indeed and I love the colours with it - I find that particular pattern very difficult to draw, and with that arrangement, getting the spacing right so it looks symmetrical! Excellent work. Great pics of Alex too. Thank you for your visit - yes, bread takes a long time, and sourdough particularly so, but in between you get on with other things so it isn't so bad. There's something so primaeval about it and I feel a real connection with the past when I make bread. It's also so much more delicious than the bought variety!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Sorry I'm late replying - been to Winchester to clear out my son's uni flat, visiting Julia en route! Good luck with not shedding tears tomorrow, I wept buckets on my sons' last days!! What a lovely thing to do taking Alex wild swimming, I haven't done much in rivers but, being brought up by the sea meant I was in swimming from May onwards! Your iCards are fab, especially with multi-circles, I like that a lot!
Hugs LLJ 8 xxxx
Awesome cards and fun photos! Sorry. I am so late! #37
Hello Caro, I'm late again. Hope that you did not weep too much. I will be doing the same as our grandson leaves Primary School as well and we are going to Leavers Assembly!
Love your index card offerings this week.
A litre mug for you tea, wow, sounds like my kind of mug :-) Anne x #3
I thought I already posted a comment on here, but obviously not. Love your index cards. Sorry I am so late. I didn't even post until Thursday! EEK! Is Julia going to bar me from WOYWW? #37
Hi Caro, looks and sounds like the pot of Tea I need to get through my sorting and reorganising hee hee!! Loving the ICADS.
We really do need to make the most of every moment with our children as time goes by so quickly. Enjoy your Summer time together and making memories.
Creative Hugs & Thank you for sharing WOYWW Tracey #7
Hi Caro, thanks for your visit earlier! Moving from primary to secondary is a big step! My son made the transition 2 years ago, only to be thrown back into middle school when we moved house - and now he's starting Y9 in a high school - his third school to start in the past two years! He's quite well practiced by now and luckily he's moving to high school with his new friends from middle school. Best of luck to your lad - I'm sure he'll do marvelously! The best thing about secondary schools I've found is that they don't pester you about taking part in school events looking for "volunteers", although it sounds like you've been pro-active in that respect having been "banned" from the disco LOL! Love all your index cards - so much joy and creativity there! Have a happy Sunday afternoon - hope to see you next week again! zsuzsa #9
Looks like a lovely way to enjoy a hot day! Our favorite spot is closed at the moment. So no creek sitting for me this summer. And the hottest summer to boot! Love your index cards. Some day I'll get to play. LOL Thanks for the visit. Creative Blessings! Kelly #25
Fun bunch of index cards you have there late getting around hugs Nikki 3
