As you can see my desk is utter chaos. I went away at the weekend and spent yesterday evening trying to catch up on my index cards and generated a huge amount of mess in the process. You can just about see another large (pint) mug of tea on the right side of the desk, some scraps of old scrapbooking papers on the left and a general muddle of pens, double sided tapes, ruler inks etc over the rest of it. Here are some of my index cards from the week
An abstract experiment with finger painting acrylics - very messy and great fun
A water colour image from the psalms. Watercolours dont work brilliantly on the index cards but it was fun to experiment.
Again, water colour image from the psalms, incorporating a free stamp I got from Craft Stamper magazine.
Another free stamp from Craft stamper and words from a worship song that I love
For once I followed a theme on this one - the prompt was postage so I used old K&Co papers for this.
Alex's leavers disco was incredible - the mummy network had put on an amazing time for them. The theme was the greatest showman/circus:
Look how cool the invitations were! Simply amazing.
All the teachers dressed up - including the head teacher who was the bearded lady! They had a photo booth - this is Alex dressing up in it!
And another one.
They had people teaching the kids circus skills, a pizza supper, a disco and then a balloon drop (the decorations in the hall were amazing, but I can't show photos of other kits faces on here)
Then the announced each child as they exited the hall on the red carpet - Alex in true clown fashion did a dramatic knee drop!
The leavers assembly was very emotional the next day - all the teachers were in tears as were half the kids and the parents. It is the end of an era.
To celebrate the start of the holidays Alex and I went on a long train journey to the south coast to stay with my aunt where we had fun paddle boarding, swimming in various pools and the sea and generally had a lovely time, so I will leave you with a few photos!
That's all for this week. Have a nice week everyone.
Love
Caro

Hi Caro, looks like Alex and his fellow Y6 pupils had an amazing time at their leavers do. Our Y8 leavers assembly (middle school) was also very emotional and the prom went off well. Enjoy the holidays! Love the finger painted index card, just my cup of tea (no pun intended lol). Sarah #13
Your index cards are fabulous. They put mine to shame. You put a LOT into yours.
Looks like a wonderful end of school party for the kids and the teachers, too. And what fun you two must have had when you visited your aunt. Happy WOYWW from # 1.
Hi Caro, great photos, and that will be a graduation they will never forget. How fabulous it all looked. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX
Like all weeks before: I love the index cards! The 'fingerpaint-wild-one' is my fave! The 'circus-invitation' is indeed incredible! What a feast, the photos show! Warm(!) hug from Holland, Marit #21
Wow, that is the most amazing Y6 Leavers' Do I've ever seen but how wonderful it all looked! I LOVE the 2018 pic made up of the kids, brilliant idea. Your iCards are all amazing, I really do like the fact that they're all so different and you obviously have a ball making them!
Hugs LLJ 11 xx
So there was no embarrassment at the tears on leaver’s day then? Everyone cries, so I don’t expect Alex even noticed!! What a fab party they had, what great memories. Catchin up with the iPad has given you a rummage worthy desk and that’s no bad thing gal! Your cards are lovely, hope you aren’t feeling a pressure to keep up, more a pressing desire!
Afternoon Caro. What a beautiful post - such a celebration of the good things of the Lord, with your index cards - and what a celebration to finish Junior school. Fantastic show put on by everyone. My five grand children have all left primary school by July 2017 - and it is indeed the end of an era - no more nativity plays, no more KS1 & 2 shows to visit and see - it all changes in the secondary schools... and I'm now into GCSE art displays, As level art shows... and that's all I get to as it's all that folk are invited to - sad really.
Wonderful shots of your weekend away - brave souls that you are!
Take care. God bless.

I really like your Psalm 68 icad, and think the watercolors still look vibrant. That circus themed school carnival sounds great and will need to keep it mind for my elementary school. Thanks for your visit to my blog and Blessings!
Hi Caro, what a great show for the end of term. I think as a retired teacher this does not surprise me we work hard and we play hard especially when there's chance of some fun. You asked me about the pebbles. Wickes sell them in bags for £9.00 they call them Cobblestones and there is an offer if you buy four bags. I would think that B&Q probably sell them too, there are loads on Amazon but they are prepared ready for painting and will be more expensive. Personally I like the ones from Wickes as they are different sizes and shapes which I find actually gives me lots of ideas when deciding how to paint them. Hope that helps. Happy woyww. Angela x17x
That is certainly a busy desk ! Thank you for visiting Karen ~23
It looks as though we both had a lovely time celebrating the leavers :-) Your son's Leaving celebrations looked wonderful and such fun.
It also looks like you and Alex had a wonderful time on the coast.
The index cards are great. Thanks for visiting. Anne x #9
What a great way to finish school, it's as uplifting for the Parents and Teachers as it is for the children when it all works out so well and everyone is just enjoying the moment. Happy memories that will help with that next transition stage.
Love your ICADS Caro especially the experiment with fingers, right up my street.
Looks like you had a great time away together, more happy memories.
Thanks for sharing & Happy WOYWW Tracey #6

Oh my, you'e had a busy week! Looks like a lot of fun activities, though! I love your index cards! I thought the watercolor looked quite vibrant. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. My desk is only that organized now because I recently moved my crafting space to a new room in the house and I haven't had quite enough time to get it all messed up yet. hahaha! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Caro, great to have you back, you certainly seem to be having fun crafting. Great to watch Alex's progress from primary school.
