WOYWW483

Welcome to the weekly desk hop of crafting desks around the world, otherwise known as What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW), hosted by Julia.
Here is my desk - in the process of getting my bullet journal/diary up to date with pens, scissors, washi tape and craft knives all out as I was using them. If anyone is interested in seeing how I use my journal then please let me know and I will show a few photos.  At the back of my desk is another large mug of tea (almost empty and in need of a refill!
Since last week I have had the week off work and we have done a different activity each day to finish off the holidays including visiting Nets Kingdom in Sherwood Forest
Hoverboarding
GoKarting

and eating far too much at 'Gellatos Sundae'

I am now back at work (and back on my diet!) and Alex has started secondary school - Yikes!  Where did that time go.  He had a very happy first day so praying that it continues to go well for him.
That's all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

Afternoon Caro. Oh my - young Alex just looks SO grown up! Proper handsome young man now! Yes, the years do rather fly past - I have my eldest grand daughter going into what used to be called Upper 6th - so final year at school; and my youngest entering the second year of his secondary school! Three more fill in the other years! Good to see hubby able to be out and about - brilliant! I don't journal at all, so would be fascinated to see how you use yours...
Take care. God bless.

Hello Caro! My name is Belinda. I believe this is the first time we have met. I have been away from blogging and crafting for the summer so I am looking forward to visiting all the crafty ladies in our WOYWW group. It looks like you ended summer with a bang. Love all the fun activities you had with your family. I am sad to see summer go but excited to get back to work and get to creating. I started bullet journaling this year and love it. I finally found a basic format that I can stick too. Since years past, I tried to be so fancy that it wasn't possible to maintain and I started stressing about it. So I would love to grab some inspiration from your journals. Have a blessed day and it's nice to meet you.

Goodness, I can't believe that Alex has started secondary school! He looks very proud of the fact - what a great week you had together beforehand. I've done nothing but cook for 6 sets of visitor in the past three weeks, so my diet starts today as well, lol!

Hmm, those desserts look so lush! Good luck to Alex in his new school. My son has just started high school in Y9 (having already transferred to secondary school in Y7 two years ago, and then into middle school in Y8 due to our house move) - poor kid had to start three different schools in the past two years, but taking it quite well, considering. Nice to see that you took full advantage of the last week of the holidays! Have lovely week! zsuzsa #21

Hi! Looks like a great end to summer. I've never gotten into the bullet journals, I guess I don't have enough stuff scheduled to need one lol. You asked about my pen storage, they are from a company called Studio 3 Solutions that sadly stopped making them. This gal, made them from foam board http://robinscreativecottage.blogspot.com/2012/03/copic-marker-organizer-foam-core-board.html.
Hope that helps! Thanks for the visit!

Hi Caro, great photos from your trip. Alex looks like he's having great fun! I've not had a go at journaling, but know lots of people do it. Maybe next year I shall try it. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier, and have a lovely week Heather x #12

Your planner looks interesting. I think you should show us how you use it.

I am always impressed with Alex. He is such a natural in front of the camera. I foresee a modeling career for him because of his ease with a camera in his face no matter what he is doing. You have certainly "trained" him well! Thanks for the earlier visit. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

Wow, that's a great ending to the summer holidays - what a great time you've all had and what lovely photos. I'd be very interested to know how you use your journal, it's something I've thought of starting but it's on my 'things to do in the future' list - I just need a small shove!
Have a good week,

I've read a lot about bullet journals recently, Caro. I'm not sure I could get into that - these days I'm far too disorganised lol! I love all your holiday photos and Alex looks great! Thank you for your visit and your good wishes - I think my leg is a bit better this morning and I've put on one of those hospital stockings which is helping a bit, I think. At the conference I sang mostly Messianic songs (some in Hebrew) and a couple of others too, one by Don Francisco. They seemed to go down very well! The conference was organised by Torbay Friends of Israel and was entitled "Thy Kingdom Come" and included teaching on the differences between the Church and the Kingdom, which was all very interesting.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I am still always awed when I hear "Sherwood Forest" I still think of Robin Hood every time! Amazed that it still exists! I remember once sending an ATC to someone who lived in Sherwood Forest, and I googled her house - it was in a big subdivision, not a treehouse in the forest! LOL! Thanks for your visit, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, I've been working so much lately! Have a great week, Lindart #23
