WOYWW 510

Crazy busy week this week so I feel like I am chasing my tail a bit – work is insanely busy and it is impacting a little on life at home as there is just so much to do. I am hoping that things will calm down a little next week as marking should be completed and other projects are easing off.   Anyway onto the reason that you are all here – WOYWW – my favourite weekly blog hop

As a result I haven’t had a huge amount of time to play over the past week, but did spend a happy hour last night getting my Bullet Journal/diary up to date again.  Playing with printing mini photos and pens and stickers. On my desk you can see my journal, mini printer and various inks, pens etc as well as my large mug of tea (almost finished at that time).
I am going to keep this short and sweet as Miss Julia likes it, and end with a photo of Alex learning to build flat pack furniture.  He really quite enjoyed himself and was proud of the success he had – mind you we still have two more drawers to complete! This weekend’s task I feel…
That’s all for now, I hope that you all have a lovely week.
With love and God Bless,
Caro

Well done Alex, it's a good life skill to have! My son Rhys has done all our flat pack stuff for a few years now, he's much better at following instructions than I am, for sure! Hope work calms down again, it's a pain when it gets in the way eh (necessary, I know but....)

Hi Caro,I do love your header pic, is that close to you? Great idea letting him learn how to assemble flat packs, it's a life skill they need these days. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

Morning Caro. Sounds like the word "boredom" doesn't appear in your dictionary... Hope all sorts itself out. Great to "employ" young workers, isn't it??
Take care. God bless.

Glad you had at least an hour to play in your journal, creative time - even if it's just a few minutes - makes you relax isn't it?! Happy woyww and a big hug from stormy Holland. Marit #19

Hope you get to spend a bit more time crafting. how lucky you are to have one of those mini printers. I have had one on my wish list for ages. Maybe I should treat myself.
Love that your son is learning to build furniture, quite a good thing for the young men of today - I remember my friend going to help her son do just that when he was at university.
Take care, have some time for you
Hugs, Neet xx

Hi Caro. I was wondering if that was a bullet journal. It's a great concept and one that I love seeing what others are doing, but I failed at doing it myself! Oh well. Yours looks great.

Good job to Alex for putting together some furniture. I've assembled so many bookshelves over my lifetime!

Happy WOYWW

Hi Caro, I feel like chasing my tail is my middle name hee hee!! Hope you get some down time soon, we all need it. Glad you managed to finish your bullet journal at least.
Looks like Alex will be a great source of help in the future, the thought of my two boys with a hammer at that age makes me wince :))

P.S Hope you get more creative time very soon.

He looks very studious, working away - good for him! I am rubbish at things like that, but they are usually better with two pairs of hands, so that is a problem here!! Thanks for visiting. Helen #4

You have a very productive looking desk this week, I love the idea of a mini-printer - I've never heard of one but I assume it prints like a big one but is easy to carry around? That's a good skill to teach your boy - he'll probably often come across flat-pack furniture in his life!
Have a great week,

Pleased to see Alex doing his bit and it's good practice for him learning on your stuff before he has to do his own. Work does have a habit of getting in the way of fun doesn't it! Wishing you a happy creative woyww, Angela x15x

Hi Caro. Lovely to see Alex being helpful. My eldest Matthew is not good - or patient at things like that :-) - he fully admits it as well. Hope things ease up for you, I remember those crazy, busy days when I was teaching. Hugs Anne x#13

Happy Belated WOYWW and thank you for your earlier visit to my blog. I have been tempted to get one of those mini printers, but then remember that I have 2 very good 'normal sized' printers and can print onto smaller photo paper. I never get round to printing photos though, so it is good that I am using a digital planner now. It is very easy to insert photos into that for memory keeping. Well done for getting your son to start young with flat pack furniture. Ali x #9

Good luck getting the last of the marking out of the way Caro (not my favourite job either). Alex looks so engrossed with his flat pack building. Such a useful skill to have these days. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

HI Caro, I'm glad you managed to get some time to play in your bullet journal. Looks ike you have everything you need within arm's reach on your desk - mine starts like that, but the free space to work in tends to get smaller and smaller :o) Alex is learning a very valuable life skill there, good for him, he'll feel so satisfied to do such a useful job for you. Have a great week. Annie C #21

Ah Caro, I’m constantly amazed that you can make time to do anything at your desk, you always seem very busy to me, so this week has to go down as ultra busy...all that marking - you must see thestudent’s work in your sleep some nights! Clearly you are enjoying having a mini printer, I must say I keep looking at them as a potential for my birthday list! I hope you can entice some calm into your next week!
