WOYWW 517

Another week, another Wednesday and time to show my creative workdesk (see Julia's blog to understand what this is all about).
For once my desk is in the midst of some creative action as I am making a large sheet of patterned paper ready to turn into cards or to add to backgrounds in my journal - exactly what I am going to use this for I haven't decided, but i am having fun making it.  You can see my spray inks, brushos, distress inks, stencils, blending tool, and some kitchen roll I am using to mop up the chaos (my fingers are brightly coloured as well!).  Of course, it wouldn't be my desk without the large mug of tea!
The other creativity from this week was another page from Easter in my Bible journaling Bible. This one was created with watercolours and posca pens and is the view from inside the empty tomb.  I was asked last week whether the colouring that I do goes through the page - the answer is yes sometimes, but if I want to do something on the back of the page a couple of layers of white gesso sorts it out nicely!
I am enjoying my garden at the moment, and so have taken a series of photos of white flowers
- putting my new phones camera to the test.
However, I have to confess I have far too many of these in my garden!
That's all from me for this week. I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday.
With love and God Bless,
Caro

Lovely garden pics - even the old dandelion clock! I know they are a nuisance but everything in nature is a little marvel, even those teeny tiny parachutes! xx Jo

It’s a good new phone camera for sure! How nice to see your desk in action...with those colours I bet your fingers looked really pretty! I love the way the journaling bibles have room for pics and notes, good call with the gesso. I also really like the tabs I wonder if you added those.

Hi Caro, I'm with you on the dandelions! I love how they look, and know that the bees are grateful for the flowers, but my, do they spread like crazy! Masterboard is looking great, may go down that route for my ATC's. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

Lovely white flowers and yes, even the seed head looks beautiful. I like rubber stamps depicting them, they are so useful for backgrounds.
You have done another page in your Bible journal which is lovely, a very interesting slant on a picture that we often see from the other side.
Great papers - love the oranges and yellows you are using - will be quite striking when you finally call it a day.
God Bless, Neet 1 xx

That dandelion clock is truly beautiful, and the flowers are lovely too. The only problem is that they are real thugs and grow better than other plants. My head torch allows me to do the close work I love. I thought I would have to give it up until I thought about my torch. Thank you for your visit today. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #5

Loving the look of the Masterboards you're making. I actually find it's better not to think what you might use them for and just have fun making them. Often if I have a certain idea in mind my brain just dries up and I can't get going with it so I just play with the paper and then keep them until I find a use for them. Nice photos too. I think dandelions are taking over the world! yesterday it was like snow falling outside here with so many seeds blowing around. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x14x

I love your Bible journaling! Something I have wanted to start but haven't yet. Pretty good camera in that new phone, I'd say. And your desk looks normal by my standards :) Have a super week!

I love what you are doing on your desk, Caro! Gorgeous bright colours. It's ages since I made any masterboards. I made quite a few from mopping up etc. and couldn't bear to use them for anything or cut them up! I have a stack that I use as backgrounds when I want to photograph things. Your Bible journaling is just fabulous... Thanks for answering my question about it going through. Gesso is great stuff, isn't it. You must have a special Bible with extra wide margins. I couldn't do any of that on mine! The margins are quite narrow, and most of them seem to be filled with pencil notes which have accumulated since 1995 when I bought that Bible. Your garden photos are beautiful. Lovely flowers and the dandelion clock is amazing, isn't it. We tend to think so negatively about them (thousands more weeds coming from just that one!) but close up they are beautiful.

Thank you for your visit - I was fine after my fall and by the morning my back had stopped hurting. It was mostly my dignity that suffered lol! Glad you like the new loo and my slippers. I've been trawling the Internet today in search of suitable wallpapers, and I've done a bit more embroidery on the slippers. More photos in due course.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Hi Caro, looks like the white flowers are all so fun to see together with the contrasting textures and I grinned to see the dandelion gone to seed too :)

That's a sure sign of a happy crafter when we just go with the flow, masterboards are all about having fun and no two should be the same. Enjoy your creative playtime Caro.
Lovely way of documenting those white flowers.. I know some do not like the Dandelion but the Bee's love them and the puff has always been a symbol of new life for me.

Hi Caro! I see you are using my favourite swirly stencil! I use that one a lot! I love the oranges and yellows you are using, very spring-like. The flowers are beautiful, what is the one with the red tips? I've never seen that one before! Thanks for your visit and good wishes for my back, have a great week! Lindart #30

Oooh, I love your 'backgrounds' on your work table, that is something I like to do too - it's so suiting to 'just play' and make big sheets/backgrounds to use later, isn't it? Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, hope you have a nice Friday/weekend. Hug from Holland. Marit #19

Lovely pictures, Caro! Yes, I think many of us can relate to the fairy clocks in abundance in our yard/ garden. I just tell myself that without the, the fairies wouldn't know the time. ;-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #27

ah the joys of dandelions, you can roast and grind the root to make a coffee alternative! Not tried it myself but I know people who have.
Lovely page and the joys of brusho's and stained fingers! I sometimes think stained fingers are a sign of a couple hours well spent!
