WOYWW521

Welcome back to another Whizzday and another edition of WOYWW courtesy of Julia (head desker)
My desk is a bit staged this week as I have been down to Somerset over the past 5 days and not crafting.  On the desk (bottom right) you can see the two lovely ATCs that I have received as part of the swap, the left hand one with the glass is from Angela and the right is from Zsuzsa (along with the beautiful images above the ATCs, and the geli print purple card and envelope to the right.  Also on my desk are some badges made from the image on my blog last week. The red and orange ATCs are some of the ones that I have made for swapping, and just peeking into the left is a sneak peak of the bookmarks that I have made for everyone at the crop.
This is a close up of the badges.  There will be enough for everyone at the crop and then if anyone else would like one, it will be first come, first served (I expect to have quite a few left over) so leave me a message in the comments below if you want one and email me at carostaton (at) gmail (dot) com with your details.
Update on Gran is that she is still very poorly and in hospital on large doses of oral morphine for the pain, and her heart and kidneys are struggling, and she is rather depressed, but stable for now.  My brother, mum and I have been in to see her everyday at different times to sit with her and chat to her, and she also asked to see our children, her great-grandchildren. In between visits our distraction was this little handful of fun - a 9 week old cockapoo!  She is called Jay-Jay and is adorable (trying to photograph her has proved extremely difficult!)
I am so excited to be attending my first WOYWW crop on Saturday and look forward to meeting many of you lovely ladies there. I may arrive a little late and will have to leave a little early as it is a long drive and I need to collect Alex on my way back. See you soon,
Love and God Bless,
Caro

Oh Caro, I am so sorry to hear about your Gran. I have held her in prayer each night for simply ages now. What a blessing you all are to her.
Love the little dog, She truly does look adorable and sweet natured.
It will be lovely to meet with you on Saturday, even if you can only stay a short while. So glad you are making such an effort when there is so much going on in your life.
Love the badges and atc's.

I love the badges Caro!! Mine will join the collection I wear on my denim jacket - I shall wear it with pride. I'm really looking forward to seeing you on Sat and it doesn't matter when you have to leave, we're grateful you're making the effort to come.
I hope your Gran is as comfy as she can be, it's tough when loved ones deteriorate - seeing the family must be helping her.
That little puppy is soooo cute, bet she's a pickle!

How sad about your gran. It sounds like the first crop you have been able to attend may be flawed by thoughts of her. I hope things turn out great on all fronts. I love that button you made. It is fabulous. Take lots of photos of the crop, please. I live vicariously. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi Caro! Glad you've received my ATC - I've got yours too - loving the warm colours in it! Sharing it along with the others next week! Hope your gran's condition improves soon - she's lucky to have all her family around to visit. Jay-Jay is absolutely adorable - cockapoodles are so cute! It would be lovely to meet you if I can make it on Saturday - it still hasn't been decided if we can go, but there's a possibility that I can pop in! Might see you there! zsuzsa #23

To answer your question: the images are random cut-outs from an old Vogue magazine. It was part of the challenge to find images in magazines and I was surprised how quick and easy it was to find some that were suitable. I only buy fashion magazines to cut them up LOL - I never read them.

So sorry to hear your Gran is so poorly, what a worrying time it must be for you. I bet Jay-Jay is a wonderful distraction - she looks absolutely adorable and at 9 weeks old I can imagine what a handful she must be - she has such a cheeky face! I hope you have a lovely time at the crop,

Hi Caro, those badges are brilliant. If you have any left I would love one. Thank you so much for the ATC and the bookmark which will get lots of use as I still like to read real books rather than reading on an Eye Pad is just not the same. I hope your Gran improves soon, I know how worrying it can be. Also wish you a great time at the crop and just sorry I can't be there to meet you all. Have a lovely crafty week and a happy woyww, Angela x17x

Being a total techno-numpty I am still trying to work out how to get your "badge" from last week onto my blog! I shall persevere! I'd love one of your pin badges if at all possible - but only if you have one spare. Really sorry to hear Gran is still poorly - it's such a worry and a rotten time for you.
jay-Jay is adorable ... could very happily cuddle with him!
Have a super time on Saturday - they are a great bunch so I know you will. Love to you from Debbie xXx

Lovely collection of goodies on your desk, Caro. Well done with the badges - they look great! I am sorry not to be able to attend crops and meet you all, but I live right out in the sticks down here and also am not able to travel, but I'll be with you in spirit! Thank you for your sweet comment and yes, we are delighted about how our finances are panning out, and I'm really looking forward to the new wheelchair demo coming up. Today I completed my PIP application in draft form and a lady from AgeUK is checking it for me on Monday morning, and hopefully that won't result in too many alterations to be done. I really hope I've given them sufficient info that they won't need to do a face to face assessment which would be extremely stressful.

So glad you liked the card I made for my hubby! We've had a lot of celebrations lately and it's been fun, and great to have some really nice things going on to take my mind off the stress of my PIP application.

Happy belated WOYWW,
