WOYWW 561

Firstly an apology, last week ran away with me and I didn't manage to join in at all with the lovely blog hop that is What's on your Workdesk Wednesday (check out Head Desker Julia's blog for details).
Here is my desk as it was late last night, and almost empty mug of tea, my journal and some stickers everywhere.  There hasn't been huge amounts of crafting, but I have got my journal nearly up to date.
This is the February monthly page all decorated and finished at the end of the month.
Since last updating my blog we went down to stay with my brother for half-term where we were joined by Mum and went for lots of walks.
And this last weekend Alex went to Freezer camp with scouts (this is the before shot)
where the wind threatened to blow their tents down, they got hailed and rained on, but also had sunshine and a lot of fun - this is the state he was in when he came back - exhausted, grubby but having had a fantastic time!
That's all from me for now, keeping it short and sweet the way Julia likes it!  Have a great week everyone,
With love and God Bless,
Caro

The shots of Alex before and after made me smile - I have similar ones of my two like that and well remember opening up the crispy flannel that hadn't been touched the whole week away!! The journal is looking great, glad you're having fun doing it.

No need to apologise, your Desk friends absolutely know how flexible and busy we all have to be - and I must say, you in particular Caro! Love the photos of Alex, the boy done good..he’s sporting a medal! Ah, everything they love about it is what makes me want to cry about a week away at a camp!! Your Feb journal is a triumph, and just shows how busy you are, I do like that table format very much. And what a fab pic of of your family, makes my heart warm....all that boy energy!

I saw all the photos of Alex when he went on the trip with the Scouting Movement on Facebook - he looked to be one excited young man who was enjoying himself. I used to be a Guide Guider back in the day and have a special pin I was awarded for years of service. Those were happy days!
Lovely to see a photo of your family including your mum - days to treasure.
Well done on keeping your journal up to date - not an easy task and I am sure with your busy life it certainly takes some doing.
Lovely to see you posting
Blessings, Neet 8 xx

Hello Caro. Thank you for the kind comments re Auntie. I just wish she could settle into somewhere ( she is not safe alone, can barely see now) she is lonely also. I feel torn emotionally and hope she will settle and we can resume the relationship we had, but I am doubtful.
I remember our two and their before and after camp photos! :-)
Hope your mum is coping ok. Take care. Anne X 15

Hi Caro, Alex certainly looks like he thoroughly enjoyed camp. I like your journal, quite nice small squares to complete... even I might be able to manage that. Did you make the journal yourself, or is it a purchased one? Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

Well done with your journal, Caro, which is coming on fine! Congratulations on keeping it going and up to date. I don't know how you manage to do any crafting at all - you are so busy with work and family and church too. Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you like my Celtic knots, and also the kitty pics!

Happy WOYWW and God bless,

What an adventure Alex must have had ... still smiling at the end of it despite the weather! Sorry for the late reply - I did get back to all my lovely visitors yesterday only to find that not one single message had posted! Love to you Caro, Debbie xXx

The pictures of Alex really made me smile. My boys are big men now, but I still cherish very vivid memories of them at a similar age. There is nothing on Earth that is filthier or more contented than a boy who has been roughing it at Scout Camp for a few nights. Good times!
Have a great week!
