WOYWW564

It is Wednesday and time for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, the nicest blog hop in the world (See Julia's blog for details).  It is a little bit of colour, love and support in a crazy world.
Sadly my desk isn't colourful because I am working from home and my desk is where I can have my meetings with work colleagues and students because I can shut the door.  This isn't the only desk I have been working at this week.
I have also been working at the dining room table to try and help Alex with his school work.  Marking student literature reviews while trying to keep my ADHD son on track is a challenge, but we are making it work with giving him regular exercise breaks.
We start the day with 30 minutes exercise (PE or the cross trainer), 4 lessons with breaks in between (bouncing on the trampoline to get fresh air and get rid of the fidgets),
then helping in the house (gardening, tidying, hoovering etc) or going out cycling round our block. I am so glad that the weather has been so good so far. The evening is his time to do what he wants (usually screen time).
My evenings have been spent having regular chats with family via zoom and google meet, and a little crafting.  This is my latest journal page - thinking about isolation and the self-distancing we need to do at the moment. The journaling on the page reads 'Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, the Lord will be with you'.
For Mothering Sunday we got out into the peak district and enjoyed scrambling round the rocks

making sure to avoid other people (everyone else was on the paths!).
I will leave you with another encouraging verse from the Bible. Let me know if I can do anything to help, or any prayer requests that you have. Stay safe everyone.
With love and God Bless,
Caro

Hello Caro, great idea to keep the young energetic lad occupied with regular fitness breaks. Love the verse you have chosen. I started bible journalling this last month and have the verse from John 16:33 now memorised and again it seems fitting for our world currently.
Stay safe

Hi Caro. Wow! Full days at the moment keeping your eye on so many different balls. How's hubby in all this? Trust you are all managing to keep really well. Loved the pictures of the Peaks. I decided not to venture into Snowdonia at the weekend - and, in retrospect, am glad of my decision. Apparently the wardens have never seen it so packed - even on Bank holidays! A lovely encouraging verse for us all. God is working His purpose out in all this - we may not yet see it - but He has not forgotten His creation, His handiwork! He is faithful.
Take care dear girl. Stay safe all of you. God bless.

Seriously Caro, you are winning. At career, motherhood, everything! Love the pics of Alex doing his stuff, working off his ‘fidgets’, he is so packed with life isnt he! Keep well, I have to say that I’m glad so far that you are...don’t compromise yourself to help, please. I know that sounds selfish but you know what I mean...your good health is paramount. And the same goes..if I can do anything for YOU, let me know.

Fab photos Caro. I know it's important for Alex to have plenty of structure in his day but don't stress too much if all doesn't go to plan. You have a wonderful relationship with him and that will shine through! Keep safe. xx Jo

Aren't we lucky to have all this technology which makes keeping in touch so much easier for family, friends and work. I was interested to hear how much more tiring you found working with your students online, it must be so much more focused for periods of time. You take care Caro, I know you're thinking of everyone else but you're important too!!

Really glad you are coping in this mad world we are living in right now. It's not easy for any of us and we all need to adapt but I'm sure it's easier for all us creative folk. We are blessed to be part of this Wednesday gang.
Stay safe and keep crafting.

Hi Caro, Alex must find this especially difficult, as all his routines have been changed, and I understand that is something they do struggle with? But equally, I would think it is also helping him to learn coping techniques, and how managing in something like this is a real achievement in itself. Stay safe,Have a good week, Huge hugs, Shaz #1 X

looks like you have a great routine going! I have to have the radio on during the day to make a bit of noise (only me here so it's very quiet otherwise) but it is driving me mad lol Take care. Helen #5

Dear Caro, so encouraging! Thank you first of all for the beautiful verse from Isaiah. It sounds as if you are well on top of things at home, and managing to work from home and encourage Alex too. Well done! I am glad you've been able to get out in the fresh air a bit too.

Stay safe and well, and happy WOYWW and God bless,

Goodness me you are doing a great job, it must be very hard for Alex to deal with this major change in his life - I know lots of people without ADHD who are struggling desperately to cope at the moment. Looks like you are finding the perfect balance between schoolwork, exercise and fun!
Have a good week, stay safe and well,

Hi Caro -
You've had a lot going on this week but it sounds as though you have kept all those different plates spinning. Especially hard when you're trying to keep an energetic boy occupied and engaged. Glad you had the chance to get out into a big wide open space at the weekend - he looks almost like he has taken flight in the last photo!
Love the colours in your journal page, especially that deep, inky blue.
Stay well and have a good week.

What a wonderful woman you are Caro. Juggling with so many hats all at once and still having time for anyone. I just love coming to your blog as your lovely smile always makes me feel calm.
You are doing a sterling job with Alex, keeping him working but also letting him get the exercise he needs during the day. He certainly look healthy enough and he has that lovely smile just like you have. Hope mum and hubby are keeping well during this worrying time and that you have enough provisions to keep you all going, We are out of potatoes (3 days and counting) but should get a delivery on the 9th April so that will be a celebratory kind of day for the two of us.
Thank goodness the sun is shining again today, at least we can enjoy our garden and get some much needed fresh air.
Take care, God Bless, Neet 7 xx

A great post Caro, thanks for the visit. You've got a great variety of things to keep you busy. And that family time will always be for good memories. Nothing much here is open. I was home 2 wks and we left early this morning for a few groceries. Needed to see outdoors ! Damp/rainy/fog all week but Monday SUNSHINE and 60's We have no green grass or flowers yet. Thankful for computer time with others. I never mind be home. I love your journal page. Blessing to you and yours. Stay Safe

Good Morning Caro, what an extra work load you have right now but if it keeps you and your precious family safe and others around it's worth it. Such a boost to include exercise into the daily routine too, it will soon become part of many peoples daily routine when this darkness has lifted for sure.
I'm glad to see you managed time for yourself to do a little journalling very important. Take care & stay safe, sending good health & blessing your way Tracey #19
