WOYWW 638?

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Apologies to anyone I failed to visit last week, life got a little out of control again - I will try to do better this week.

This is my desk as it was on Sunday - playing with inks and paints to try and catch up with my ICADs - 9 left to go! You can see watercolours, stamps, inks, brushes and of course my trusty mug of tea.

Here are the most recent ICADs - playing with different things here.

That is all the crafting I have done as I have spent some time with different members of my family, including swimming with Alex. This is my Uncle Geoff, celebrating his 70th birthday with a rather damp barbeque (thank goodness for the gazebo).

These are my in-laws who we had a flying visit with in Wales, which inevitably included going in the sea!

That's all from me for now, I am off to take Alex out go-karting with 3 friends as a much belated birthday party, so will try and comment later.  Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,
Caro

Oooh go-carting! That sounds fun! I think I would prefer that to the cold sea, if I'm honest. Well done you on the ICADS and on your up to date journal (well, as of last week anyway) - enjoy your play and trying out new things!

Happy WOYWW, getting back to it

Gosh, those photos of the sea made me shiver - it's very cold and dismal here today but I guess it was ok by the sea.
Have a good week

I'm glad you got to have a swim while you were visiting - silly to ask if the water was cold, you won't have minded!
Yes, I was really cross at having to throw so much food away - always happens when the freezer is nearly full, of course! will be re-stocking soon, tomorrow hopefully (over a couple of days, as I have to carry it, not having a car. i don't like online grocery shopping. Helen #3

Those icads have a lovely painted background that does look like water - well done you on achieving that.
Ooh, not sure that water looks war enough for me to dip my toes in but you are a master at cold water swimming so no problems for you. Just nice to know you had a lovely time with the relatives in Wales.
God Bless, Neet 8 xx

Hi Caro, thanks for your return visit. Interesting what you said about the Star Trek table/radiotherapy table. Another example of predictive programming perhaps? I see it all the time when watching SciFi these days, preparing us for what is to come, particularly in the technological arena.

Sorry to hear you are beginning to suffer from menopausal symptoms. Natural phyto-oestrogen remedies are far preferable to HRT, I think, which has been proved to carry a higher risk of breast cancer. Natural phyto-oestrogens don't work for everybody, though - research shows it depends on your gut microbiome, but this should be healthy if you are eating the correct diet (plenty of fresh fruit and veg, lots of fibre, avoid animal fat and protein).

Just getting lunch ready, and am ready to put my tablespoon of soya beans in my portion of sweet and sour veg!!

Have a great end of the week.
God bless,
Shoshi xx

Gosh you are a busy bunny, no wonder the crafting is in catch-up. My scrapbooking is in permanent catch-up, like the house work and washing, such is life.... Thanks for the visit BJ#17

Great ICADs! Love the ocean scenes. And how wonderful to visit with family! I've only waded in the ocean as it was soooo cold (to me).
Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!
