WOYWW 640 (I hope!)

As you can probably guess from the title I have completely lost track of time!  The holidays have whizzed past and it is the first Wednesday of the new school term so it is time for another edition of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia.

This is my desk as it was yesterday evening in the process of making my final index card for the ICAD challenge. You can see the inks I have been using, pens, stamps and my trusty mug of tea.  It is all tidy now as I am still working from home and my desk has to become a work desk by 8am - not for too much longer though as I am starting to go into work for some days each week.

These are the final index cards made for the challenge

And this is all 61 cards laid out on my desk.... a complete mixture of methods and styles.

I was missing last week because Alex and I were in Northumberland for a final mini holiday of the summer.... warning - photo overload!

The weather was grey but dry and we had a wonderful time exploring, walking, coasteering, body boarding and swimming.

I had my first face-to-face teaching session of the new academic year yesterday and Alex has started year 10 so life will soon settle down into a more usual term-time rhythm.

Needless to say I am still swimming and hope to continue through the winter again, but we will have to see how it all fits with being back in the work building. That's all from me for now.  Take care and stay safe.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

Northumberland is a special place, we were fortunate enough to live up there for 13 years and adored the place. I need to go back now I’ve seen your pics! Great icard work, I love the variety you’ve achieved and the painting is brilliant too!

Wow, those ICADs look amazing all together! I would have enjoyed that castle visit in Northumberland - and of course you always make the swimming look fun, although I would have been reluctant to get in the cold water. It's probably what you call balmy! It was a bit weird for me going back to work, but I'm all geared up now. You just snap back into it. I remember there was a lady in my office building, who wasn't sure which one was her office on her first day back LOL! Take care xx zsuzsa #22

Thanks for your visit yesterday. I’m sorry to say I was head down sewing all day so I didn’t manage one visit so I’m getting round my favourites before I get back in my sewing room this morning.
All your cards look amazing laid out like that. Fab holiday photos too.

Oooh, those photos makes me want to cross the Northsea right now, and travel around the countryside of GB (I'm in ooh and awe every time I watch 'escape to the country' on televison... it makes me want to have a cottage in Wales, ha!) I love seeing all your index cards, the bright yellow/coloured 'Joy' card is amazing! Enjoy your weekend lovely one. Hug from Holland, Marit #2

I’ve really enjoyed your summer Caro, such wonderful holidays full of activity and smiles! Marvellous swim opportunities too, and these last few days of heat must have been just lovely. Well done with the iPads, such great staying power. Seeing them all laid out like that is like an overview of your mindset…colour and cheer. Lovely.

Lovely ICAD´s!

And so beautiful photos of the landscape and castle.
Most of all I love the photos of you in water. I am a "water person"
and that looks so fun and refreshing!
