WOYWW 709 (Happy New year!)

Hello and welcome back to my blog for the New Year (2023) edition of what's on your workdesk Wednesday. Happy New Year to you all. Sorry, I have been missing so long from blogland, but life has been more chaotic than usual.  I hope to be able to join in again more regularly this year but time will tell!

Here is my desk as it was early this morning - I am trying to be a little more creative this year and actually use some of my Christmas presents (new stickers, stamps and A6 books to craft in) so here I am making a 5 minute collage.  In the process everything I may possibly need is scattered across my desk!

This is a close up of the collage.  Simple but effective.  I love to sing and go to the theatre so this is a reminder to me to do more of what I love this year.

That's all from me today, keeping it short and simple.  I will leave you with a daft photo of the three of us taking at Christmas to say Happy New Year to you all, and I am wishing you all happiness, fun, laughter and good health this year.

With love & God Bless,

Caro

Hi there Caro, and happy New Year to you too! I love that little collage, a small collage isn't easy to create as the composition is so important and you created a balanced and marvelous (and happy!) one. Thanks for visiting my blog, so nice to 'see you' in this first week of the year! Big hug from Holland, Marit #11

Hi Caro, thanks for the kind comment over at mine. I saw you had been skiing at Tamworth and the way things are at the moment it's probably the best option as the weather is not good at some of the resorts. Loving the five minute collage it's a great idea. Have a lovely New Year woyww and don't work too hard. Hugs Angela x10x

Lovely family photo Caro and I love the sentiment on your quickie collage - think that should be everybody's mantra!! I have been busy booking theatre tickets while the sale is on so I should have a very fun January and February. The only fag is having to schlep into town but I've managed to get all matinees. The privileges of retirement!! Happy New Year, have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx #11

Lovely to see you at your desk Caro, hope you’re feeling more and more recovered on a daily basis now. I’ve often wondered how you fit it all in, and believe me, as long as the crazy busy that you live in isn’t doing you any harm, we’re happy to see you when and if you can make it! I love the collage….I always get ridiculously fixated about positions and angles and really can’t do it. But I like the mess making! Happy New Year. Xx

Super collage, great to use your new supplies too, love the sentiment. Dance for me, went last night, whoop whoop. Super pic of the 3 of you. we got one with son and his GF on Boxing day which was the only time I saw him this Christmas time. They grow up so quick and "poof" they're gone! Hugs BJ#14

Your collage is so pretty and showcases pink in such a lovely way (unlike my page which ended up blue).
I saw on someone's blog that she does not do resolutions but rather does 'goals' and she puts them all on a page, little drawings of what she is hoping to achieve. it just reminded me when I saw your lovely page. It's an idea but I don't make any resolutions or goals, perhaps I should.
Blessings

What a sweet little collage! It's an art form I admire and always collect buts to make some, surreal appeals to me for sure. Not managed it YET but one day, who knows? Great photo :D
HAPPY NEW YEAR and (late) HAPPY WOYWW! May it be a great one for us all.
