Welcome back to my blog after a long absence again. I have
resurrected it so I can join in with What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday for the
900th anniversary. Amazing to think WOYWW has been going for over 17
years and there have been some really special friendships to come out of it.
In keeping with WOYWW - this is my desk! I am in the process of updating my diary and doing the end of the month roundups so there are pens, my diary and a cup of tea on display. I use the Hobonichi Techo diary which has a day per page and then a few extra pages at the back etc. I have used one of these for the past 4 years and really like them.
These are a few examples of the pages in the diary.
And now for a brief life update – Tim & I have been married 25 years and although his health is still not great we have developed routines to help. We even managed to get away to Wales for our anniversary.
I am still working full-time for the university and in my free time I open water swim , play board games, craft, and am now licenced as a Lay Reader in church (which means I take services and preach).
Alex has now left school and is a year into his apprenticeship with an Engineering firm in Sheffield – as he tells me “you can’t get more Sheffield than Furnace Technician”. He seems to be enjoying it so far. He is also into powerlifting and spends far too much time picking me up!That is all from me for now. Happy WOYWW.
With love & God Bless,
Caro

Caro!! So good to see your name on the link this morning, it’s so lovely to catch up with you. I love your diary, so detailed and a lovely way to look back and see how you filled your year - you don’t sit still much! Lovely to see the pics of you and Tim, congrats on your silver anniversary and I can’t quite equate the pics of your powerlifting, furnace technician son when I remember him so well as a skinny young 10 year old lol! Tempus Fugit etc etc…..
Hope to see you again on the the desks,
Happy 900th Anniversary!

I am so pleased to see you again! I have missed your swim pictures! Happy 900th! I know what he means - I went to Sheffield uni and we bought our first house in Crookes before moving to South Wales. Susan #14
Hi, Caro! It’s been a very long time since I have posted as well. Nothing new in my world. Still crafting, making lots of scraps and stacks. My husband and I are fairly healthy for our age! I go to water aerobics 3 days a week. It helps me remember what day of the week it is! So good to hear your updates! Alex is quite the young man now. How time does fly?! Our great-granddaughter is turning 8 this month! I was posting at least that long ago because I sent Julia a baby picture. I haven’t really posted on FB either! Don’t know where my days go, let alone the years! Happy Wednesday!
So, so lovely to catch up with you Caro! I love the photos you've posted - can't believe how that little lad has grown into a handsome young man - well done on all his success. And to you too - you are a star! Happy 900th post. x x Jo 🌈
Happy Week 900 WOYWW!
Amazing to see your catch-up - your SON!! Gosh, I mean I KNOW he must have grown but in my mind's eye he is still that sweet young lad out and about with you. I miss seeing your lovely diary pages but am glad you managed to pop in for a quick visit. Here's hoping you and Tim manage a few more lovely getaways and we see you for week 1000... :)

Hi Caro, it's great to look back at what everyone's been up to and to hear that Alex has an apprenticeship in this great city, miss it lots. Gosh he looks so grown up but you have hardly changed at all. Sending big woyww hugs, Angela x12x
Hi Caro! Your diary is spectacular. The only form of art in my diary are a few doodles here and there. It's good to see another minister in blogland. I've been an ordained Episcopal priest since 2020. I serve as a bi-vocational rector at a church with a parochial school, and also serve twice a month at another church in a nearby town. I a a retired Head of School, so I only work part time. Both my churches are small, and can't afford a full time priest at this time. Congratulations to you and Tim on your 25 years of marriage, and your son's accomplishments. Blessings and Happy WOYWW 900th Anniversary!
That was a lovely catchup, Caro! Your journaling system is amazing! Congratulations on being licensed as a Lay Reader! It was great to hear about and see photos of Tim and Alex, too! Hugs, Darnell
Lovely for you to join in too, Caro! What a great way to record your steps! I'm into walking too - though I had fallen behind because of the intense heat but back in the the spring I averaged 15-20K steps/day - I hope to get back into my routine this fall - although somehow I'm more motivated in the spring. Lovely photos - I was thinking it would have been nice to see a photo of your son only to realise that in the last photo that's him and not your husband LOL! Wow, he's all grown and looks a lot like his dad - but also a bit like you. Was definitely not swapped in the hospital. Wishing you all the best! xx zsuzsa #23
Caro how lovely to see you. It's been fun resurrecting these blogs again hasn't it. Congrats on your 25th wedding anniversay and great to hear Alex is enjoying his apprentiship. You can't be so far away from me. Hubby used to work in Sheffield before he retired. Hope to see you again. Hugs Lisa #17
Happy WOYWW 900, Caro. It's lovely to see you here though I do see you on Facebook often - usually cold water swimming! Congratulations on your Silver anniversary. I hope your husband's health improves over time. I can't believe how your son has grown but glad to here he's doing so well. Your life sounds busy and happy. Have a wonderful week. Elizabeth x #27
Happy 900th WoYWW Caro! Lovely to 'see' you here! I think you were the first person I ever swapped an ATC with....I had no idea what they were back then! I've been away for a bit too. Hubby suddenly passed with no warning -miss him so much... but as they say, life goes on... and my mojo is just not anywhere to be found....probably under all my crafty stuff that keeps piling up! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#16
Goodmorning! It's so good to 'see' you, you are the one that is always there and I somehow just relied on that. "there will be new participants, there will be ladies absent and I'll wonder where they went but "Caro" will defenitely on the list!" And what a beautiful journal pages you show, lovely! Your boy is getting big... I remember my son getting taller than me, he loved to lift me too *grin* Thanks for your comment on my blog. I am looking for 'free/spare time' to visit some blogposts all through the weekend so by the end of the week I hope to have visit all desks on the list - just like you, as an 'old woyww-participant' I just wanted to celebrate this 900th anniversary so badly and it's so lovely to 'bloghop' to the wednesday-desks again. It's good to see all the creativity that is still going on, and visit long-time-no-see desks/ladies! Congrats to you too for the 900th woyww, keep up the good spirit and have a nice weekend. Love from the Netherlands, Marit #24
I tried commenting several times yesterday but my comment refused to publish. So good to see you. Thanks for being a part of WOYWW. Happy 900th. Sarah
Happy 900th Caro! I had to laugh at the thought of Alex picking you up - he sure has grown! Wonderful to see him thriving.
I have a friend who has taken up free swimming, I always think of you when she talks about it. Life certainly looks busy, plenty to go in that diary!! Have a wonderful week, love n hugs Cindyxx #21
