Still busy at work

Work is still frantically busy as I now have two new people to train in the lab and to ensure are able to work to their full capabilities while still having to finish off two papers, write a review article and run my own experiments. I certainly can't say that things are dull. Alex is hillarious and on great form. We have had fun these past few days by asking him what noises animals make...he can do elephant ( he calls it an effant and puts his arm in front of face accompanied by the appropriate noise), crocodile (snap with bringing his arms together), cow, dog, cat, monkey, bird (aark aark) and my favourite the lion and dinosaur both of which are accompanied by loud roars! We have also been dancing and singing and playing a lot with his new digger, truck and Ninky Nonk all of which are current favourite toys.
Crafting wise I have made my Mother's birthday card, but since this is for the CMPC competition as well I can't show it here. I also made my Dad a get well soon card as he has had an operation today. For this I used the Jayne Nettley Mayhew CD, my cuttlebug to emboss the background which I coloured with a black whispers pen and chalks, and various pieces of card stock. I followed the sketch from Papertake Weekly, with the exception of the three strips on top of the image as they didn't work for this card.
I have also made a couple of ATCs using some work based images of cells stained fluorescently for different markers. I cut them out using my nestabilities and mounted them on backgrounds. The red one was embossed with the cuttlebug bubbles folder. I then added stickers and a bit of sakura stardust highlighting. As usual I would love to know what you think of these. Have a good week everyone.
Love,
Caro
