All tired again.

I think as a family we are all really tired as none of us are sleeping well. This has resulted in fractiousness all round so I really hope that we sleep well tonight and are refreshed in the morning. Alex alternates between a zombie like state and complete hyperactivity, so I really hope he remains happy in the midst of it all.

I can’t believe it is time for another What’s on your work desk Wednesday (WOYWW). Where did the last week go? Well as you can see my desk is still ‘relatively’ tidy (I use that term with caution), but gradually getting messier again. You can see my lovely large mug of tea (nice and hot at the moment) and various stamps that need to be cleaned and put away, a lovely mix of new ATCs from a recent swap waiting to be filed, my scissors, craftknife and an ink pad all needing to be put away. You can also see the card I made for my brother waiting to be written and sent.
I was asked last week what was behind my laptop so I thought I would take one photo with the laptop closed to show the righthand side of the desk. As you can see I have a pen pot (an old hydrous ointment pot which I altered) stuffed full of pens, a magazine file full of random paperwork and some Artbin drawers which are overflowing. Beside the computer are some papers which need putting away and underneath them a mess of cables from the computer, printer, mobile phone charger and our telephone. My husband has a desk immediately adjacent to mine and so some of the cables and papers are actually his as his desk has a habit of overflowing (most annoying!).
Crafting wise I made this scrapbook layout for this weeks Scrap it with a song challenge and so it also fits with the Simon says stamp ‘song’ challenge. I chose to use the phrase ‘across the sky’ from this weeks song ‘The kiss’ and incorporated it into my journaling. The page is titled ‘Sunrise’ and the journaling reads ‘On a cold winters morning a beautiful sunrise shone golden light across the sky, which sparkled on the frosty trees and Grass. Barr House. Jan 2010’. The layout also fits with the Scrap and Stamp theme of paper piecing as the sun image is pieced from three different papers (pale yellow, dark yellow and orange). I am also entering it for the Penny’s ‘anything goes’ challenge and for the Practical Scrappers ‘favourite product’ challenge – I love and use Bazzil cardstock on nearly every scrapbook page. Have a great rest of the week everyone.
Love,
Caro

Hi Caro - you're brave putting a full cup of coffee/tea on your workdesk, that would spell disaster in my space.
Love your layout and the fabulous tearing of the papers, perfect for that beautiful photograph.
Glad you could join us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge.

I like that you clean your stamps before putting them away. I'm a stickler for that, too. That layout is super. I can't wrap my head around HOT any drink with the heat we are having. Hope your place is much cooler.

Sorry I am so really, really late this week. Happy belated WOYWW on Sunday.

I've just taken a swig of very lukewarm coffee, so totally know what you mean about the tea being hot for now! Your space shows alarming levels of tidy - and scarey wires! Love the LO - the torn shade are gorgeous.

I find cables a real pain, but obviously a necessity!
I hope you managed to have a hot drink to the bottom of the cup!
