Weekend fun.

I have to say that I really like weekends!  We had a lovely day on Saturday with a mixture of jobs in the morning (washing, cleaning, cooking, shopping etc) and then out to Hillsborough leisure centre in the afternoon for swimming.  Alex loved it just as much second time round and was even more adventurous...we went down both big water slides twice, played in the waves and he tried his best to swim.  It was so much fun all round.
Today we went to my in laws for the day.  Alex just loves being there and playing with Sam and Tom, although after a while this game of cushions and pillows got a bit too rowdy so we made them all go out and play in the garden and work off some energy before lunch.
Running around was good fun,
but the best bit was definitely the bubble machine, closely followed by watering the plants (and his trousers and shoes!).
Crafting wise I made this scrapbook page following the sketchy Thursday sketch for this week. It also fits with the theme of journalling on a tag for Sketches {by Tamara}, and I am entering it for the Anything goes themes for Paper Play and Stamp n Doodle.  The photo is of my brother and his family and is the first photo of Daniel holding his baby brother Nicholas.
I also made this birthday card for my brother so it fits with the Birthday themes from Ooh La La and the Crazy challenge, a the card for a man from Stamp with fun. The card also fits with the 'scenic route' challenge for Lots to do and the 'hot wheels' challenge from SCSC.  The background was brayered and the picture was made up using lots of different stamps - it was hard to get the perspective right with the angle of the car, so several attempts were made before this card sort of worked! Have a great week everyone.
Love,
Caro

I love your "Scenic Route" card - the background is beautiful and you have done a good job of getting the perspective right. Can understand how it must have taken several attempts.
