A boring WOYWW!

Sorry to say that my desk is really dull today! And why am I showing you this?  It is to join in with the best blog hop in the world...the brain child of Julia.  Those of you who are regular participants of WOYWW, will realise that I was missing last week.  This is because I was on holiday at my parents...we had a wonderful time (some photos later!), but I didn't manage to get onto the net.  This week I have come back to a mountain of work including exam marking so my desk is fairly empty, with various crafting bits shoved to the back such as stickers, paints, stamps etc, as I spent all yesterday marking exams and did not have time for even a little crafting.  My trusty mug is there as I did a LOT of tea drinking during the process!
We had a lovely time in Somerset with Alex enjoying games with his cousins and especially tractor rides on Grandad's tractor and the Easter Egg hunt round Grandma's garden.
I enjoyed the fact that there were signs of spring (the daffodils aren't out yet here) even though we had to wear coats & hats everytime we went outside!
While we were there it was my Dad's birthday and this is the card I made for him.  I used papers and images that came free with various magazines over the years and am entering this into CCCB 'Happy Birthday' and Stamp with fun 'Birthday.
I am a bit behind with my smash book, but this is the latest page featuring Alex in Red Nose day mode! I used masking for the background and then cut a large circle of red card on which to mount the photos and the red nose day leaflet!  That is all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
Love,
Caro

Hi Caro,

It's horrible when we are to busy to do crafting and I am with you I am also on withdrawals. It sounds like you had a great time with the family and such a great card for your dad too.

Happy WOYWW hope you get to play soon.

I don't remember ever having an Easter Egg hunt as a child, poor deprived thing that I must have been... or maybe it's just the distance of time! Anyhow, Alex looks like he was enjoying himself. Happy WOYWW even if you are marking! Helen, 8

Hi Caro - Spring eally does seem to be staring at last doesn't it? We've had a lovely day here today but I think it may rain this evening - at least it is a bit warmer. Hope the marking doesn't take too much longer and you can carve out some crafty time. Happy WOYWW Cindy #63

Hi Caro,

Your desk is just waiting for you, isn't it. I love seeing the flowers; there's been a few bulbs that have shown themselves.

The card you made for your dad looks nice and the smash book page is great! Love the nose.

Thanks for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW

Oh, marking, brings back painful memories. Don't envy you what you have on at the moment.
Looks as if it was better on holiday than it is up north as we haven't got any tulips out yet, the only ones I have seen are in a vase on my table. Lovely too!
Hope you get cleared and some crafting in soon.
Thanks for visiting me earlier - Hugs, Neet number 16 xx

G'day Caro
I've resigned myself to the fact that I shall ever be running late to get to others blogs due to my work but here I am. I could only wish I had that much space on my desk at any one time LOL. Hope you get some free time soon to create some more. Loved the card and smash book page...your boy is cute!
