Smashing times! (WOYWW)

As my entry to WOYWW this week here is my desk in the midst of a major Smash booking session (hence the pun in the title).  I said last week that I was making an effort to catch up, well I have nearly finished July - just one more page to go.  On my desk you can see the final two pages of the smash book open and waiting to be smashed, my mug of tea (sadly depleted), some stencils, distress ink pads and sponge pads for applying it, along with glue, DST and a pen.
This is the page that I was working on last Wednesday...in the end I managed to choose some photos from over 200 of the wedding and did a black and white photo montage.
This page is of Alex's first ever sleep over (while I was at the wedding) with the background coloured with distress inks using stencils.
This page is of his Little John outfit again using distress inks and Lavinia stamps.
Finally this is a page to record my twice weekly phone calls to my Gran (she will be 89 in a months time) as they are really special to me.  That is all from me for now.  Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

Your memory records are just lovely. I spent many years visiting an elderly aunt every Wed evening and know just how important times like that are :-)

The last picture of the phone calls to your Gran is just lovely! I do hope you journal a few of her comments and conversation so you can look back on it

Awesome pages Caro, but what a special page that is of your Gran and she is so young but an amazing reminder of special conversations.

Thanks for sharing, I love dropping in to see what you are up to, looks like you are catching up.

Happy WOYWW

This is a great way to use a smashbook :) Lovely pages! I only have a smashbook for my received postcards, but I am thinking of doing something like this too. Or maybe project life. Not sure yet!

Sounds like you are having a smashing good time! One time at the grocery store I saw a display for Smash book things and was impressed just how much that caught on. The pages you shared are great and each tells its own story. How fun.

You've been having fun cropping and laying out your photos. I really like the way you did your grandmother's photograph in the middle of the telephone dial. Happy WOYWW! #13
