What happened! (WOYWW)
Ooops! I have been
missing in action again and can’t believe I missed over a week and it is
Wednesday again. Where does the time
go? I haven’t managed to find a new
routine to blogging since getting more involved at church. I was asked a few weeks if my journal pages
based on the current sermon series on discipleship could go on display on the
church website and on the screens at church which was a huge surprise. As a
result I am trying to keep pace with the sermon series in terms of my artwork,
as well as other commitments (birthday cards, church home group etc), which
along with full time work doesn’t seem to leave a lot of time for
blogging. I will do my best to continue,
but it will be a case of when I can!
Anyway, enough wittering…this is my desk for WOYWW this week. It is looking remarkably empty because I was working
from home yesterday. In fact, all you
can see on it is Alex’s drawing as part of his half-term homework

me which book cover it is? and my journal with a few lines sketched on it as I
plan my next page.
This journal page was based on the subject of giving and
uses acrylic paints, drawing, writing and stencilling for the texture.
The next one I really struggled with as service is very
similar in many ways to giving. This time
I used masking with distress inks and stamping for the sunburst coming out from
the cross and acrylic paints and pens for the rest. The white word on the cross
is made from Doodlebug alphabet stickers.

Some times there just aren't enough hours in a day to do all we want to do. Just enjoy doing what you're doing :-)

that's a real compliment that the church wanted to use your crafting as part of the service! Well done you :-) I think we're often shy about showing our art but think how many people can't do what you do. I've been given a solo in my brass band and after the first AAaargh moment (scared) thought that I have to be brave and give it my best shot!

Caro, how precious that your church leaders want to show your work. That is fantastic. You have such a beautiful gift in expressing what you are learning. I often look at your pictures and think, "That is anointed". Keep at it, and enjoy using the gifts which your loving \heavenly Father has poured out to you.

I'm sure your pages will be an inspiration to others in church, how nice that they asked you! I often wonder how you do it all, so don't worry about popping in here regularly, we're happy to see you whenever! I can't guess Alex's book, I want to say cat in the hat, but ...hmmm...
After a disastrous week and weekend, I'm finally able to stick my head above water long enough to return your visit from last Wednesday. Sounds like you can relate, too.
You have made some lovely art for the sermons. I'm sure that pleases many people and you can feel honored knowing how important and special your talents are.
Sorry, I have no kids, so I am not sure about Alex's book. But I'll go with Julia's guess (grin).
