WOYWW 512

Welcome back to my blog and the weekly desk hop hosted by Julia called What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW).
This photo of my desk was taken on Tuesday evening - I am trying to get into the habit of putting things away when I have finished crafting and having a tidy desk so all you can really see are the cards I made on Monday, my ipad, my bullet journal sitting on top of the latest craft stamper magazine, the paint water (still to be cleared away) and a pad of paper with weekend plans on it - I was trying to work out when we could hold Alex's birthday party.
Just in case you think that my desk is always that tidy - here it is when I was in the middle of working in my art journal over the weekend. Alex went out for the afternoon to his mate's leaving me free to play - and yes, I did create chaos and have a wonderful time in the process.
Here is the finished journal page using a mixture of gesso, stablilo woodies (water colour pencils), ink sprays, brushos, stamping and embossing. The main stamp is a Dina Wakley one, the others are a mix and I cant remember where i got them from (sorry).
To finish here are my two Mother's Day cards made using my cuttlebug and some free stamps coloured in with prismacolor crayons.
I hope you all have a lovely week and enjoy the spring sunshine.
With love & God Bless
Caro

I do try to have a tidy up between projects. My space is small and I tend to lose things if I don't clean now and then. Your card is gorgeous; your coloring is just perfect. Happy WOYWW! Glenda #19

Oh, it is so lovely when we manage to get some free time to craft! It looks like you had a great time doing those journal pages, I love the blue green colours, my favourites!

The embossing on those cards frames the stamping beautifully Caro. Your desk is very similar to mine: chaotic in mid create but then quickly tidy afterwards. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

Beautiful cards and the embossing is a perfect foil for the central designs. Thank you for your visit and lovely comments. Have a good week. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafters) #8

the cards are beautiful, but I love your journal page! I never seem to put much away here - there is nowhere to put lots of it... but that's no good thing! have a great week. Helen #3

Lovely card for Mothering Sunday and equally I like the journal page you have created. Gorgeous background - I like it when I use lots of different things and get a successful page.
When I tidy my craft room (it is a dumping ground today) I will t;ry your method of keeping tidy - I used to do it so surely can again.

Happy WOYWW and thanks for your earlier visit. Flowersoft! That is one thing I never got into, but remember it being in all the shops/tv channel. I love that Dina Wakely stamp on your journal page. Ali x #15

Lovely work this week, Caro - well done! I went through a phase of always having a tidy desk for WOYWW at one time - it always seemed to coincide with me just having finished a project! Thank you for your visit and I'm sorry that you are yet another one who can't see the photos on my post. I can see them but it seems nobody else can! I think it's google messing about again and I've had a lot of trouble recently with all my photos disappearing from 8 years' worth of blogging and I'm having a terrible job replacing them all. Could you please let me know if you can see the photos on any of my other posts or if it's just this one? Thanks.

Happy WOYWW,

Meant to say, Caro - what you said about your son's singing certainly struck a chord with me lol!! My hubby is mostly in tune but he doesn't listen and his sense of rhythm is just awful... I reckon he could sing pretty well if he took some lessons but as it is, it's a raw, loud, un-house-trained voice, a bit like Scottish bagpipes in a confined space lol lol!! I am always embarrassed sitting with him... He puts me off my stride too! I have to keep reminding me that the Bible says "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" and it doesn't say it has to be beautiful lol lol! Hope He has got a sense of humour!!!

The colours on your journal page don’t speak to me...they SING! Lovely stuff, and the DW stamp is a perfect image isn’t it. I like both desk shots, the calm and the in progress. I expect you’re now adding party planning into your mix, you are so busy. still, partying should be at the top of the list!

Hi Caro, lovely cards, I do like the Cuttlebug embossing folder, makes for great frames on cards. The waterfall is only a few miles from Prestatyn, and well signposted. Definitely worth the visit. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #2 X
