WOYWW 522 - the 10th anniversary crop edition!

It's Wednesday again and time for another round of desk hopping and snooping courtesy of Julia.
Here is my desk as it was on Tuesday evening (this is a scheduled post due to work!).  You can see a nearly empty mug of tea, my water colour paints and crayons, an index card, a stamp (swapped at the crop!) and in the background some other decorated index cards as I am joining in with the index card a day (ICAD) challenge on Instagram.  To the right of my desk is a pile of ATCs and goodies that I received at the crop.
here are the crop ATCs in all their glory - what a lovely collection of beauties, all so different and all so lovely. Thank you all so much.
In addition to ATCs people created other lovely items for us including yummy food, notebooks, a coin purse (LLJ) and a lovely coaster (Wipso) - again thank you!
The coaster came with a poem by the lovely Annie that is so heartfelt and true.
And now to the crop photos! It was my first ever crop of any description and I can honestly say that I had the most wonderful day. It was so special to meet everyone properly rather than just on-line. Everyone was so welcoming and we laughed, hugged, talked for England and even crafted a little. I can't tell you how wonderful it was!
Here is the photo of us all gathered together in the afternoon
This is Jo (Twiglet) and Annie (Wipso) who hosted and organised the day - and a truly wonderful job they did too - thank you both so much!
Some people succeeded in crafting (Helen completed a few journal pages, Sarah did some lovely colouring and there was stamping going on) but most of the day was spent laughing and chatting as you can see from this photo of Sarah, Christine, Shaz and Helen.
It was lovely to catch up with Anne again, the only desker I had previously met
and so special to meet everyone else including Margaret
Jan (photo taken by Jan's husband on a posh camera - the rest of the photos are from my phone!)
and Julia.  I can truly say that it really was a wonderful day and I spent most of it with a huge grin on my face.  It was exactly what I needed to give my spirits a boost with my Gran still so poorly.  Thank you all so much for such a warm welcome... you really are all kindred spirits and I loved every minute of the day.
Here is the proof that I did a little crafting - my first index card for the ICAD challenge (I didnt manage to finish it while I was there mind you!)
Have a wonderful week everyone,
with love and God Bless,
Caro

It was lovely to meet up with you, and we managed to have a little chat which was so good. My life is that little bit richer for having met you in person now.
I do hope that the next Crop is somewhere we can all meet up again - hint hint to the sisters - and there are so many lovely places to visit around Shrewsbury that other half's can come and go off exploring if they want to avoid the chatter of so many females.
Take care and have a good week.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

I can only say that what you say is how I felt too Caro, indeed still do. And the pictures...well ultimately it’s just a bunch of ladies sitting at tables, but the swirling goodwill, love, support...all the magic friendship things that don’t photograph, we are lucky to be able to look at the pictures and feel that each time. Am super impressed that you made time to have a go with that stamp, it looks great!

Hi Caro, it was a fabulous day, wasn't it. Always great to meet people in the flesh, and faces to names, etc. As others have said, such a happy constant buzz about the place. Just far too short to get round everyone, but luckily you were on our table! You have some lovely photos of the day, and thank you so much for the badge. I shall wear mine to every craft show I attend, might just bump into some deskers! Thanks for stopping by my blog, it seems a few would be up for meet up later in the year, so I'm sure something can be organised. I now have 2 little notebooks so shall keep them close at hand for when inspiration strikes, and just hope I can decipher my writing! Have a lovely, crafty week, Heather xx #6

I am so sorry to have taken so long to visit. Unfortunately, my electricity was off this afternoon and into the night due to the storms. Now it is back on and I'm trying to play catch up. In fact, I was just about to leave you a comment when it went off.

You looked SO happy at the crop. Yes, every photo I saw on every blog I've visited so far had you smiling ear to ear. I can tell how thrilled you were to be there. Happy WOYWW from #3. I hope to see your ICADs, too. I show mine every Monday, in case you happen to stop by. Mine will never be as detailed as yours, though.

Have loved seeing all the photo's from the crop - such wonderful memories for everyone. Sorry for taking a while to get back to you but time somehow ran away with me yesterday. Thank you for your such lovely comments, both on my blog and on FB ... they really do inspire me to carry on when most of the time lately I could just walk away from it all (crafting, not life!) Am aiming to get grungy and inky today so it will keep me quiet at least. Take care, love Debbie xXx

I enjoy seeing lots of photos of the crop on several blogs, and these photos are so lovely and happy too! Oh how I wish I could have been there and meet you (and the others) in person... I'm glad I am part of this online tribe of deskers! And I read you joined the ICAD challenge... I was a guest 'ICAD artist' a few years ago and joined in a few times, but don't have time for it this year (although I might make one or two?) Have fun with the index cards! I could not hug you in person but I will keep on hugging you online on Wednesday! Love from Holland! Marit #28

What a wonderful day you had, Caro. I loved seeing all the photos of you all. It's so nice to be able to put faces to a lot of the names too. I love all the ATCs etc. that you've got, too. Thank you for your visit. I really had a ball with the new wheelchair! They phoned me the next day to say my chair will be ready at the end of July, so I shall have plenty of the summer left in which to enjoy it (as long as the weather behaves!). They have a lock on the gate to the woods to stop people taking bikes in there and racing around and spoiling it. The trouble is, it makes it very inaccessible to the likes of yours truly, and it can't be easy getting baby buggies in there either.

Have a great week, and God bless,
Shoshi x
