On my desk you can see a finished pocket page scrapbooking layout (if that is what they are called) - a new venture to me (sorry about the glare), my mug of rather anaemic tea (sweetly made by Alex - a little on the weak side but I'm not complaining), various stickers and project life postcards piled up to the left, spare photos, and a pen or two.
This week it was my 18th wedding anniversary and Tim very sweetly bought me a load of 'Project Life' related goodies to play with as my anniversary present. I used to do traditional scrapbooking, but found it too time consuming for my hectic life style and so haven't done any in ages. I have toyed with the idea of pocket page scrapbooking/project life style layouts for a while as it seems to meet my desire to journal and remember events with an easy system that will make it potentially a bit quicker, and so Tim bought me these lovely goodies to try.
This is the card I made for him using a background from Dina Wakley Collage collective for the heart, and then adding to it with my own drawing etc.
I have also managed to keep up with the Index Card a Day challenge (ICAD) so here are all mine for this week.
and one from this weekend (I have to say that Tim deliberately covered himself in ice cream for the photo!). That is all from me for now. Have a great week everyone.
With love & God Bless
Caro

P.S. Update on Gran - she is quite happy in the room she is in at Minehead, and has been doing some physio, but she confessed to me that she is ready to die and be with Jesus and really doesn't want to linger in this state. Until her wish is granted we are hoping she will move back closer to Mum to make things easier all round (it is a 60 minute drive for Mum (or any of Gran's friends) to get to Minehead and 5 hours from me). Prayers are always gratefully received.

Gran is on my prayer list.
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary, what a beautiful card you made for your hubby. And what a thoughtful gift Tim gave to you, may you have many hours of pleasure ahead of you. I love the wedding photograph, you are a beautiful lady inside and out and you were certainly a beautiful bride.
Here's to the next 18 years.
Hugs, and Blessings, Neet 6 xx
Sending congratulations on your anniversary and what a wonderful gift your husband gave you. I always love receiving craft supplies or gift certificates for craft supplies! It's all good!

Congratulations on the Wedding Anniversary....gorgeous pics before and after :-) Hoping the next 18 years are as happy.
Sadly your Nan's wishes may not come as quickly as she wants but I really hope she can enjoy life to the fullest while she is with you. Biggest hugs,

I love the ice cream photo of you both and my hubby would have done that daft thing too!! Lol. Many congrats on your anniversary xx. I love the way that your crafting mojo seems to have taken off in past weeks, your various projects are fab - the pocket LOs are less daunting than full size ones, easier to think about, I should imagine....a bit like me making specs cases rather than shopping bags with a gazillion pockets!
Hugs LLJ 10 xxx
PS Weak tea rocks.... ;-)

Happy anniversary to you both again Caro. It was certainly a good date wasn't it lol! I pray your gran is able to move closer to family soon, even if she has settled where she is now. Love the card and ICADs. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
What a great husband that buys hie wife crafty stuff for her wedding anniversary, well done that man! However they are still little boys at heart which is proven by the way he covers himself with ice cream Lol! Although he did at least look the part on your wedding photo so we'll let him off. You look quite nice too! Wishing you a lovely creative woyww and thanks for the comment, Angela x11x
Congratulations again on the anniversary - that is one large ice cream! still, got to be done. Glad your Gran is settling but I do hope you can sort her somewhere closer - it is hard on everyone so far away. Enjoy your project life/scrapping. Great gifts. Helen #2

Hi Caro - just choose which twiddlemit your Gran might like and send me your address and I will post it to you - I would be so thrilled if she got peace of mind just twiddling. They are of course, free of charge to a good home. xx Jo
WOW, I'm totally impressed. 18 wonderful years together and the two of you look like you are still madly in love. He sure knew the right gift for you. I've never scrapbooked, but I know LOTS of people seem to like that Project Life. I hope it meets your needs.
Sorry to read abut your Gran. I know how much you want to hang onto her and get her closer to where you live. I'm sending positive healing thoughts your way, dear.
I LOVE your ICADs. They are so much more complicated than mine. You draw a LOT on yours. They are all stunning and I'll be by each Wed to see them, whether I'm playing with Julia or not. Happy WOYWW from #1.
Congrats and Happy Anniversary!
Looks like your hubby got you some fabulous goodies!
Happy for your Gran but will be praying for her and all of you.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Congratulations to the two of you, great having a husband who knows what you appreciated for presents. Have a good week. Ani #18
Hello Caro. Ok did wish you Happy Anniversary already but will do so again- so Happy Anniversary! Lovely photos of you and Tim. This year it will be 48 years for Graham and me.
A very thoughtful gift from Tim.
Harry, Sam and Caro also went on the Aqua Park Assault Course! Lots of fun she said but hard work.
I will continue to pray for your Gran. I hope she can move closer as well. That's a long journey for your mum and you of course. Hugs Anne X 14
Oh Caro, what a happy and beautiful post! Loved seeing your wedding photo, and the 18 years on photo covered in ice cream lol! Way to go!! We had our 33rd last month... Where does the time go? I love the card you made for Tim - so romantic and beautiful! All the goodies are going to come in really well for future projects. Despite a busy lifestyle, you do manage to produce lots of gorgeous stuff. You put me to shame...
Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the kitties investigating my new wheelchair! Nothing so nosy as kitties (apart from WOYWW-ers, of course). Thank you for your prayers which certainly were answered - I was amazed how quickly the chair arrived, considering the original estimate was 4 months, then reduced to 2. If the weather is nice tomorrow I'm taking my first trip out alone with it, to do a bit of fun shopping, if I've got the energy. I've had such a busy few days that I may need to crash out tomorrow!
God bless and happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #28
Congratulations on your anniversary. I bought the Project Life kit some time ago but have never done anything with it. I hope you enjoy yours. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #9
Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! You'll have fun playing with the pocket layouts. I do a combination of both in my scrapbooks. It keeps it interesting! Dorlene #27
Your embossing powder ordeal (on Shaz’s post)made me chuckle! I’ve done that myself, and I have carpet, unfortunately, in my craft room.
Prayers for you and yours and Gran.🙏
Happy - belated - anniversary Caro! The two of you look so happy on BOTH the photos, love that! Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog last week, I am late with my visit due to tropical days in the Netherlands (too warm to sit at the computer in the atelier - too hot to do anything really...) Warm hug from Holland, Marit #7
Happy Anniversary! You both look very happy in both pictures! I keep dabbling in Project Life, actually thought I would make a concerted effort this year to at least do month to month, but got waylayed in February! I really prefer to "scrapbook" in my junk journals, but I will try and catch up this summer. I do like making my own cards for my PL books, using copies of my own art. Have fun with it, hopefully you will be more successful than I was (although, to be fair, I do have 2 full albums, and just started a third). Thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #26
I've just scrolled down your previous posts, Caro to make sure I didn't miss anything. Happy belated anniversary - made me realise that our 17th is coming up in 10 days'time! I don't want to miss it like I missed my bloggiversary LOL! You look so happy in both photos! Congratulations! xx
