WOYWW 574

Another week, another Wednesday and here I am joining in again with What's on your Workdesk Wednesday so...
here is my desk! It is relatively tidy as I am in the process of decorating an index card using distress oxides and inks, water colour crayons, ink sponges, my mug of tea (nearly finished), and some Tim Holtz sayings.
For the last two years I have joined in with the Index Card a Day challenge (known as ICAD) which runs from 1 June-31 July and I am trying to do the same again this year. The aim is to do a little bit of crafting every single day, no matter how quickly or simply, on an index card.  Here are the first three cards.
The other crafting of this week has been a birthday card for my nephew featuring a photo taken of him last summer.

I will leave you with a couple more photos of Alex and I messing and having fun in the river before the weather changes (Facebook friends will already have seen these)!
I hope that you all have a blessed week,
With love & God Bless,
Caro

Index cards love it such an ideal size. Was the river not cold for swimming, I haven't been in the water yet and our temperatures at creeping up to the 30's. Have a good week. Ani#2

hope you find something to do equally as fun with the weather change coming - although I don't think it's going to last long so you may be back int he water soon! Love the ICADs. Helen #3

Morning Caro, your swimming makes me so envious, you and Alex do seem to enjoy it, sadly, I can't find anywhere safe to swim.
Thanks for sharing

G'morning Caro,

What an interesting thing to make cards/art of index cards. I never saw that before. They are lovely those things you have done. - Swimming in the river at this time must be nice, I haven't been swimming in the "wild" for many years by now. Have a great day!!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Happy WOYWW

Love the photos of you two - such happy times for you to look back on. I am wondering if I could make a commitment to doing the Icad Challenge - if it is a hurried craft session done first thing I probably could - just have to have the discipline. Watch my space! You might have started something.
Great idea for the birthday card by the way.
Blessings

Yep, some rain last night and an overcast sky this morning, already I’m missing the sunshine! I know a lot of people will be happy about the break in the weather though, so I will just be gratefully that Ive been in a position to enjoy it. Your wild swimming pics are always wonderful, I think the spots you’ve chosen are just beautiful too. Busy as ever at your desk, I think you actually run on tea don’t you! Have you seen that there’s a tv programme based on the daily challenges that Alex does? Or am I dreaming it again. Obviously with the help of a production company, the trailer showed the sort of challenges you couldn’t try at home, but I thought it was fascinating that the idea took off to such an extent that people in TV are taking note!

I like the index cards very much, doing quick and easy like that makes a change from deliberating over the bigger stuff. I love the pics of you both wild swimming and am a little bit envious!

Morning Caro. My word - you never stop! Great card for your nephew - aren't he and Alex alike?? It's barely 9.45 on June 3rd, and already you have done today's index card! I have purely managed to link up, have breakfast, and spent a few minutes with my Bible - and that's it! I like the verse in the last picture. I am regularly praying the Aaronic blessing over folks at this time...
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I love the sunshine but today's rain is a welcome change...the plants are drinking it up...and it will save us watering them later :-)

Great icad cards Caro. A friend of mine is doing this but I have shied away from these kinds of challenges since an ATC every day for a year. Hard to keep the mojo going for that long! Great pics from the river, you both look so happy. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #25

Hi, Caro!
I enjoyed your ICADs last year. Did you add them to a journal or scrapbook?

I suscribed to St. Luke's Connect after watching and hearing you. Thank you for sharing that. It is good for my heart and soul.

Stay safe and well!
Happy Wednesday,

I love the idea of ICAD. I've seen a few memorydex projects around the scrapbooking world and they are definitely on the increase. Such a neat way to do a little something every day. Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #17

Your index cards are lovely, Caro. They are probably an easier size to work on than ATCs because there's a bit more room to play with. Love your wild swimming pics too! Thank you for your visit - I agree that you can't stop the kitties with their hunting instincts, but I do draw the line at the gross crunching under the bench while I was trying to enjoy my breakfast in peace! Usually they look as if butter wouldn't melt, and are so sweet with their cuddles with us and with each other, and they really let rip that morning, showing their other side!

Glad you like my knitting. As I work on the black UFO, I see so many things wrong with it and realise how much I have learnt since those days. It will be much improved once I have finished with it. I've completed the neck now and am quite pleased with that - a great improvement on the lumpy mess it was before!

Happy belated WOYWW and God bless,

Good morning, Caro
You and your son make such an awesome team. That water looks fabulous. I doubt we'll be spending time in the creek this year. Some days I wish we'd purchased the pool but I fear I wouldn't spend enough time in the water to justify the expense.

Cya tomorrow! Hugs! Kelly #29
