WOYWW 580

Welcome to another edition of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday courtesy of the lovely Julia!  I failed dismally to post last week as life was just too complicated and busy.  Anyway, I am back again this week - just!
This is my desk as it was last night - all very tidy as I have been sermon writing and working and everything was put away ready for work this morning.
I have failed to keep up with the index card challenge - only achieving these three in the past two weeks. Now that I have written, recorded and uploaded my sermon to YouTube (it can be found on the St Luke's church, Lodge Moor, Sheffield channel for those who are interested), I have more time to potentially catch up!
Not much else to report - I am still swimming most days after work, either at the plunge pool  (pictured here) where temperatures are around 13-14 oC or at the lake in the park (it was a reservoir in Victorian times) where the temperature is 17-18 oC. At the plunge pool you are swimming in a smaller space against a current whereas in the lake I swim around 800-1000m.  Different things for different moods and both very good for my mental health.
During lockdown Alex and I joined in with the Taskmaster challenges that were set by Alex Horne as 'Hometasking'.  If you are interested I have posted a link to our compilation video on YouTube.
That is all from me for now.
Have a good week and take care of yourselves,  Stay safe out there.
With love & God Bless,
Caro

Glad you are keeping busy, Caro. I was too busy last week to visit a lot of people but hopefully things will be a bit quieter from now on! I’ll look out for your sermon later. Oh my word... that video has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen for ages!! Later today when my hubby is home from playing with his friends on their boats, I’ll run it for him! One thing about the lockdown - it has caused a burst of creativity and all you need is a bit of imagination! We really enjoyed Grayson Perry’s lockdown art show on TV.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Morning Caro - almost envious of your busy life!! No truly I am enjoying the downtime, just wish I had more motivation and energy to get fit - I could be a marathon runner by now! (highlu unlikely!) Have a good week. stay well, stay safe, Cindy #10

I envy you for the swimming opportunities! The Taskmaster video is really funny - so much effort must have gone into it with all the props and creative ideas! Alex looks so big - definitely growing into a proper teenager. Love the index cards - I wouldn't worry about not keeping up with the challenge - no rush, that just takes the fun out of it! I bet you're looking forward to the school holidays - I know I am - and hopefully they can go back safely in September. Keep happy! xx zsuzsa #10

Hello Caro, lovely to see you in the #1 spot. You and Alex have done a great job with the Taskmaster challenges .. that certainly would of taken a lot of planning. Well done. I love the index cards and really do like your use of vintage elements .... beautiful. Have a great week.

Glad to see you're keeping up the swimming. I shall watch the video shortly. I met Alex Horne on Boxing Day 2018. He was taking part in the Llandudno Boxing Day Dip (I was just observing). Lovely fella.

I am sure my daughter would have liked to have joined in with the Hometasking!
Envy you having the swim...The index card with the dummy on it took my eye...
Oh for a tidy desk!!

Pretty index cards! I'm glad you are finding the swimming helpful. Is there a temperature at which point you think, no way? I should have taken my swim suit when I went to Wales as there were a couple of people swimming although they did wear wet suits mostly. That is NOT going to happen... Have a fabulous week, Lisa-Jane #2

Oh Caro ! I envy your swimming! I miss it so much but there is no open pools anywhere near me and the inside ones open later in the month - maybe! I will try to find your sermon - interested what you will tell us!
Have a lovely week, love and hugs

Hadn't dawned on me that you were no 1 on the list - I didn't comment, sorry. Here I am and leg is much better - I have to wear a compression stocking on it to help the healing but no dressing - go figure! Feels much better than the bandages - they were thick, two stockinette and a cotton wool one plus dressings - too much!
Good to see you swimming, you look so relaxed and happy. Will catch up on the links later, for now I am tired and off to bed shortly.
Have a lovely week and I love those icads.
Blessings, Neet 4 xx

Being busy makes the days fly! The 3 cards you completed are pretty cool! And so blessed to have a place to swim! No lakes around here. Guess I could turn the hose on me... LOL!
Thanks for popping by and God bless!

I also started the ICAD challenge but only lasted three weeks. I always enjoy this time, but I think this year is just different all around. I may pick up where I left off later. Have a great week. Dorlene #31

Morning Caro, don't you stress over not keeping up with challenges even one card is classed as taking part, trying to keep up with life is a challenge in itself. The video is very funny, family fun during a trying time.
Take care of yourself & stay safe Hugs Tracey xx

I love the index cards you DID make, don't hurry with those, it's not an obligation and supposed to be fun isn't it? I only completed ICAD once, the other times I joined in, I just choose 'some themes' I liked which left me with time to create other things. Can you believe I haven't swam in... well, I don't know how long. Ten years maybe? Or more? And I live near the sea... Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, big hug from Holland. Marit #20

Thanks for visiting, Caro, and I'm glad you like my tiny carpets! I have started stitching the first one and it's coming out really well so far. I should have something half-way reasonable to show next week. Glad you liked my top too. I got a new Indian skirt off Ebay today and I shall probably model that one next week lol! Most of my decent stuff is spring/summer stuff - only knitwear for the winter!

What a very tidy space! I am hugely impressed with the daily swimming - I am NOT a swimmer! Your video was hilarious - good thinking by all! Have a great weekend, Chrisx 30

Hi Caro!
I am back as I noticed you asked me about the clear drops on my cards - they are called raindrops and are from Lucy's Little Things! She sells all these lovely pearls and sequins and jewels! I use them a lot!
