WOYWW 583

Well, where did that week go?! I can't believe it is Wednesday again and time to show you my desk (as part of the wonderful Julia's What's on Your Workdesk blog hop).
Here is my desk as it was last night - busy making an index card... I am still way behind in the challenge but still enjoying doing them whenever I get the chance.  On my desk you can see the card I am working on, a distress ink pad, stencils, Tim Holtz idea-ology ephemera, my ipad and my trusty mug of tea (almost gone).
These are the index cards I made this week - again all different in style. I haven't followed any of the prompts but just happily done my own thing. All good fun.
I had the week from hell last week work-wise (hours and hours of on-line meetings every day) so in the heatwave on Friday I took some time off to play with Alex in the plunge pool.
Lots of fun, laughter and silliness...
and lots of jumping on Alex's part (I hope the video works - not sure of the new blogger!).
I am happy to report that tonight my out of office goes on for 11 days as I am officially on holiday, so I will see you all again the week after next.  Stay safe and take care of yourselves,
With love & God Bless,
Caro

Glad you are managing to get some time off Caro. I bet you really need this break. Looks like you and Alex had fun at the plunge pool. The video did work! Cool index cards. I am on my last 4 tags of the 100 too. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Great index cards Caro. Video works! I would not be that brave though. Bet the water was heavenly in the heat. Enjoy time off. Anne x 15

Enjoy your break Caro, goodness knows you deserve it! Hopefully lots more wild swimming will be involved. Your index cards are such fun and all so different - I think using such a small size to start with is less daunting than a massive bit of paper!

Yes, it worked, what a great jump into the pool. `I love seeing you two enjoying the water so much. You are a model mum!
Love your busy desk and resulting icad, the black background one made me feel the need for something sweet and tasty as it reminded me of iced buns with squiggles of different coloured icing on top of them.
Enjoy your holiday time, hope you have lots of good things planned.
Hugs, Neet 14 xx

Well I’m delighted that you’re on holiday and that you have long enough off for the feeling to actually kick in, its been a long time coming. And no homeschooling to oversee either, I rather suspect that you’ll be looking at your desk and wondering what to do next! Have a marvellous break, it’ll be great for the three of you to be together without deadlines!

Loving those die cut butterflies - I don't blame you for being behind with your challenge - you're way too busy to be making something every day, but it's good that you can grab a few minutes here and there. That plunge pool must be pretty deep for Alex to jump in like that - he wasn't quite sure about it, was he? I bet from his perspective it looked a lot more scary - I'm not sure I could have done it! Happy WOYWW! Enjoy the rest of the school holidays! xx zsuzsa #11

The water does look fun! I was able to use the swimming pool 2 or 3 times a day in Spain, not quite wild swimming, but really enjoyed it. I seem to have given up on the index cards this year, yours are great x Angela #24

Your cards are gorgeous, Caro, and what a fabulous lot of butterflies! I adore butterflies and in the crafting world, you can never get enough of them! Sorry you've had to work so hard, and I'm so glad you and Alex were able to get out for a bit of quality time out together! The plunge pool is awesome and I love the pictures of the faces in the waterfall! On that first one, it struck me for the first time how very alike you and Alex look! You both look so happy. The video worked just fine. Enjoy the rest of the holidays as I know you will.

Thank you for your lovely visit - so glad you are enjoying the weekly fashion show that I seem to have got myself into - I got the idea from a blogging friend who has loads of fabulous hippie clothes and models them. I was getting a bit worried about what to do when you've seen everything in my wardrobe until I got a brainwave - just buy some more clothes lol! Once I know my weight and shape, post surgery, if that evvver happens... is settled, I am planning on setting up a dressmaker's dummy and getting back into designing my own clothes again - I used to make loads of stuff.

So glad you enjoy the kitty pics too. They are endlessly entertaining with their antics, and they give us so much joy - they always want to be with us and are very affectionate, and with each other too.

Congratulations to your hubby for losing a stone in weight. Very encouraging. It certainly makes one feel a lot better, inside and out. With the new diet I am convinced I now have more energy than previously, and my hair seems to have got thicker too (although no less grey lol!! - but don't want to go back to colouring again) - it would be nice if it would go snowy white all over like my beautiful grandmother. So glad you like the latest tiny carpet too. I'm having a lot of fun with those. I'm really pleased, too, to have nearly finished sleeve #1 on the purple circles jumper this p.m. while we were out visiting - just the ribbing to do. It fits perfectly so I am delighted that my original design has turned out so well.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Love the different styles of index cards-it’s good to do your own thing in creativity. Have a well deserved break and hope you manage lots of outdoor swimming.

Hi Caro, you're doing well to keep going with your ICADs and they look fab, I think my fave is the doddly circles one. That plugn pool looks amazing, though I'd be scared to go in, I would just love to dangle my feet in there on a hot day :) Enjoy your well-earned time off :) Annie C #16
