WOYWW 587

Another Wednesday so it is time to show you my desk as part of Julia's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. Warning - this is a very picture heavy post!

My desk is looking rather boring at present. My computer is open as I am getting together all the photos to get my diary up to date.  I do it by copying them and re-sizing them in Powerpoint and then printing them on sticker paper. It takes ages but I love the way my diary looks in the end. You can also see my diary, pens, notes, my almost empty mug of tea and my waterproof camera.

As I said last week I have had the week off work to spend time with Alex and we have had fun doing a variety of things...

including visiting a zoo (Yorkshire Wildlife Park) for the first time this year.

Then a wild, windy and quite wet weekend in Scarborough -

Mostly so Alex could go body boarding in the North Sea.

and at Alex's request we finished the holiday off with Alex paddling a rubber ring down the river at Chatsworth while I swam. The water there is now 11oC so deliciously cold and tingly.

It's now back to school for Alex and I am back to working from home for the time being.  Take care of yourselves and I hope that you all have a good week.

With love and God Bless,

Caro

Happy WOYWW. Yes, a clean and clear desk. Whilst typing my blog post and then doing comments, I am downloading some digital stash I bought a few months ago from Creative Market. Lots of large and zipped files (with more zipped files within those!), and I am literally getting through the list whenever I am in my craft room. Only half way through after 2 days! Wonderful photos and memories for you both. I can only swim in warm water now; public swimming pools are too cold for me, so it has been years since I did any swimming. Ali x #4

What a lovely journey through your week - via photographs. It certainly looked wet and windy on the east coast but it didn't deter the two of you and you both had big smiles for the camera each and every time. Lovely action shots of your son going in the water and equally lovely one of you braving that cold cold water on the river. That must account for the lovely complexion you have.
Blessings, Neet 5 xx

Hope all goes well with Alex' first week back in school and that he settles in well. Look forward to seeing your diary pages when you have printed off all those photos. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

My late father-in-law was from Scarborough and we spent many happy holidays there when my daughter was younger. Glad you had a lovely time to end Alex’s holidays-hope he’s pleased to be back to school. My daughter (FE lecturer) is still working from home although it looks as if Thursday will be her on campus day. Happy swimming!

Hi Caro. Wow! That was some week off!! You certainly made the most of every single day. Have a friend who lives in Scarborough - but I don't think the are into surfing... My family spent most of their time with me in the sea doing all sorts of crazy things - thoroughly enjoyed themselves, saying the water was "quite warm". No idea what that really means!
Trust the start of term goes well.
Take care. God bless.

I'm late visiting today because I've had lots of customers all needing their sewing doing quickly so I had to get that done before I joined in the fun today.
Love all your holiday photos and really hope the first day back at school goes well today.

Hi Caro, Alex is a real water baby, isn't he? He always looks so happy when he's in water. Lovely pics from the Park, we've not been there, so somewhere new to visit. We do have West Midlands Safari park not far from us, lovely to see the animals roaming freely. Stay safe, have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #14. X

Wow Caro, you packed a lot into your week off, looks like a lot of fun. Seriously think that Alex must have shark skin, he seems not to feel any cold at all! Isn’t it amazing how the weather can have you windswept and soaking one day and swimming in sunshine the next. Fascinated by your photo printing process, what a good idea. Doesn’t matter how long it takes, it works - and you’re right to love the result, your diary pages always look great.

I want to go on holiday with you and Alex! Love the ice creams, the zoo, especially the lemurs! Aren’t they characters? Don’t know how brave I’d be in that chilly water, although I did spend time at the beach as a teen.
Lovely to see you taking time and making so much if life!

Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn. (Don’t know if I have anything worth posting again. Still tracking down the leak in the basement [which is where our bedroom and my craft room are]! The insurance adjuster said he thinks it is from ground water! Sounds expensive and way beyond our abilities!)

Happy WOYWW, love the idea of printing your photographs on sticker paper for your diary. You and your son are both water babies. I really enjoyed the swimming pool in Spain, it was lovely and warm. Have a great week, Angela #28

Ahhh so that's how you get your pictures so small ~ That does sound like work, but the end result is great! Your zoo looks like fun ~ I would love to see a Lemur, we don't have them or Polar bears at our zoo. Great water shots too ~ Enjoy!

You two are so alike in so many ways, I'm so pleased that you've had this time to spend so many happy hours together and Chatsworth too. Sadly no show this year but I have my tickets ready for next year. Hope the return to school is a good one though I'm sure it will be. Take care and have a happy creative week, Angela x10x

We can forgive the empty desk, in view of all the other fabulous activity photos, Caro! I love seeing your happy photos of being out with Alex. Gorgeous tiger at the zoo (my favourite animals!) and what a whopping ice cream! We've got a little funicular railway going down the cliff here in Torquay.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,
