WOYWW 625

Welcome back to my blog for another edition of What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia. I can't believe we are nearly at the end of what has been a pretty damp and cold May.

My desk is covered in lovely crafting goodness from the wonderful WOYWW tribe as part of the annual ATC swap. To the right you can see my mug of tea pushed to the back of the desk and various pens used in my journal over the past couple of days. I've barely done any crafting at all this week so will just show the lovely goodies I've been sent.

This is a close up of the ATCs I have received to date; Top row is Jan, Jo, Helen and Neet; Second row is Debbie, Annie, Mary Anne and Sylvia; and bottom row is Lynne, Diana, Zsuzsa and Angela.  How gorgeous are they all and so different.  You are all so talented and I am indeed blessed.

These are the various things that came with them including postcards (handmade and bought), handmade cards, a wonderful poem by Lynne, and some ATC holders, stickers and toppers as well as a wonderfully decorated envelope. Thank you all so much.

This week the weather has been very mixed, with rather a lot of wind and rains, so it has been a jobs sort of week (Alex's much needed hair cut, stripping wall paper etc) in addition to working.  I have managed a few swims (two in the rain!) and my friend took this photo of me with her new waterproof camera in a rare moment of sun. The trees are going green again and it looks lovely.

That's all from me for now... I will finish with a bit of good news - I have had my second COVID vaccine and all being well (we are regularly testing) Alex and I will be going to Mum's on Friday where, hopefully, we will see my brother and his family for the first time in nearly a year. I really hope it happens.

Take care and stay safe,

With love & God Bless,

Caro

I loved your ATC, and I am loving seeing all the many and varied ATCs from people I wasn't able to swap with - this is always one of my favourite weeks. The weather has been pretty horrific and I am watching the weather, hoping for brighter days. Not sure if I should believe the 24 degrees forecast, but we'll see. Congrats on the jab and have fun with your mom!

Happy WOYWW

Oh I do hope you get to see your family Caro - it's been a miserable time for family folk who haven't been able to get together for so long. Thanks lots for your ATC - a lovely little work of art! xx Jo

I enjoyed seeing all the ATCs together, along with some really impressive postcards. Congrats on your second covid vaccine. Good for you that you can meet up with family. I know how it feels. I was in lockdown from March 13, 2020 until April 22, when I was fully vaccinated. Happy WOYWW from # 3.

What a lovely lot of ATC's - I recognise quite a few! Thank you so much for yours - it's beautiful, I love the gorgeous vibrant colours and thank you also for the little extras, it was a lovely thought. I am glad you have had your second jab, I had mine on Saturday and am so relieved. I hope you have a lovely time catching up with your family on Friday, it's been far too long for so many of us, it's wonderful that we can begin to see the end in sight now.
Have a great week,

Oh Caro, I really hope your plans for the weekend come off, it is so so uplifting to see them after such a long time. I had my *cough* baby gal at home this weekend and I feel fully as if the earth’ axis has adjusted itself a little more in our favour now! and besides, we’re set for a warm sunny weekend down here, so it will be lovely for you to erm, brake a little. Must stay that the greening of the trees makes a huge difference to the wild swimming...,it looks feasibly enjoyable now! (doesn’t mean I wouldn’t shriek and holler though!!) love your collection of ATCs, how inspiring everyone is.

Fabulous ATC’s . Is the water getting warmer? I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I thought the buoy was to show where you were if you went under the water and couldn’t get up again! My son laughed at me and told me what they were really for! Happy WOYWW Angela #12

Evening Caro. Great that you can see more of your family soon. We're hoping to get together with ours very soon. We have two birthdays at the beginning of June. Most of the afternoon,I've had a lovely time playing with a 10 month old puppy! Which means I fell asleep as soon as she went home! So I have only just started my hop around WOYWW's. You have a lovely collection of ATC's and should have mine soon, I've been hunting for your stickers, Luckily and have found them, in my 'keep it box' along with the TV remotes which I've also been hunting for (least they weren't in the fridge!)Stay safe. Happy WoYww!? ((Lyn))#9

Delighted to say that your ATC arrived today! It is lovely - with all the little watercolours and doodlings! Thank you too for the super extras - I will enjoy playing with those!

Hope you get to see your brother and family. Here in Melbourne we are going into a snap lockdown at midnight tonight...

Happy Woyww!

Love the circular ATC - that's the only one of those I've seen so far. Hoping everything goes okay for the family visit and that the trials of wallpaper stripping are over soon (it's so sticky isn't it?!) Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8
