WOYWW 630

Running late on the blogging front today, but was determined to join in with the fun that is What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia.

Here is my desk as it was about 30 minutes ago... a mug of tea on the go, the order of service outline in progress (I am leading in church on Sunday so need to co-ordinate everything), my little note pad with a to do list on it, my camera sat on my laptop, and to the left a new index card box. The reason for the new box is that I have decided (rather late in the day) to join in with the index card a day challenge which runs through June and July.

Here are my 28 index cards so far - so I've nearly caught up! The idea is to do a piece of art on an index card every day for 61 days - the reality for me is that I do it in fits and starts when I have time. It's a good way to play with different media and ideas and to try out new techniques.

Thank you for you good wishes for our wedding anniversary, Tim and I celebrated with a lovely meal out at a restaurant in Sheffield called Brocco Kitchen. I have been playing with my new camera since then, but will have to share the photos next week as they are still on the camera rather than on my computer! I hope you are all keeping well. Stay safe and Take care,

With love & God Bless,

Caro

Great selection of ICAD cards, well done for catching up - I am a little behind! Thank you so much for my ATC and the little images. Um.... are they stickers? My daughter brought my post to me and it was wonderful opening everything at last. Angela #7

Hi Caro, your desk always looks so organized! LOL You may have things on there, but somehow it always still looks like it has purpose and in order! I must know your secret! LOLOL I commend you for the ICAD Challenge. I just know I would never make it! Although I's start out with a charge, I'm afraid I'd fizzle out way too soon! I love the cards you've done however!! A while back you had posted where you got all of your lovely, lovely stickers or rub ons for your journaling. Could you reveal that again? I looked at that time and meant to jot it down and forgot! Lovely picture of you and hubs and so glad you guys got to have a nice celebration! I couldn't find your email on your blog, so couldn't send mine to you. You can visit and to the right you can email me yours so you don't have to post in open forum. Wish it didn't have to be like that, right? Blessings for your day and rest of the week! Felicia #30

That’s such a lovely pic of you and Tim! Your iCards are fab, I love the variety - that’s the sort of challenge that would perhaps appeal to me, quick and easy. You could use them as card toppers as well maybe?

I'm glad I didn't find out about the ICAD challenge until it was too late - otherwise I would have felt compelled to enter it LOL - perhaps next year! Good that you were able to catch up - working in lumps is totally fine, I think - once you get your supplies out, you might as well do more than one! That's how I managed the 100-day project - it would have been unfeasible for me to do one every day. I love all of yours! The inky ones as well as the collaged ones! Sounds like you had a lovely anniversary - you too look so happy together as if it was your wedding day just yesterday! xx zsuzsa #31

Oh Caro, I loved your ICADs. Better late than never. Those little Paper Dolls are the perfect size for index cards. I love the vintage look you got in the first ones, and the doodles. The messy ones are my favorite, I think and I absolutely adore the PRIDE one. Thanks for sharing them. You have a beautiful home, too, dear. Happy WOYWW from # 12.

Hi Caro! Happy (belated) Anniversary! You both look very happy! Great job on catching up on those cards! I did this a few years ago, and may try it again in a year or so, it's a lot of work! I can see how your style is changing as you get more comfortable with the cards. However, I do like the first ones you did...Have a great week, Lindart #34

Hi Caro, Love the collection of happy from those cards and that you both look so happy together too. :)
(are you going to use the cards as like backgrounds on cards or tags later down the road?)

That's a lovely photo of the two of you - how nice to go out for a meal again. I must admit I am tempted to try it myself.
Didn't know the icad's had started again - and now it is late for me to start but difficult to with us spending so much time away from home - with limited craft supplies. However, it certainly is lovely enjoying seeing yours. I love the first ones with the TH Petite Dolls on - I see you have used the lined side? I never knew which one to use so chose the plain one.
Hope all goes well on Sunday, I am sure it will
Blessings, Neet 10 xx

Happy Belated WOYWW. I am catching up with some blogs early on this misty morning. I managed to comment on all the list last week, and determined to do the same today. 28 index cards already! Wow, you are a speedy creator. Ali x #15

Keeping very well thank you Caro. Such a lovely pic of you and Tim celebrating your day, bet it was lovely to be out out! Your new camera is already amazing, those waterfall pics on fab were pretty epic if you ask me. Well done on the icad catch up….I think I’m with you on the ongoing method..a few at a time in catch up spurts sounds ideal to me. Stopping at one at a time may prove to be the biggest discipline to learn!!

So glad you had such a good wedding anniversary celebration, Caro, and what gorgous index cards! Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes and prayers and kind offer. I had no idea - I thought you were a teacher! Anyway, I'm OK for now, thank you, and am pretty adept at doing my own research in many areas of interest to me. I will certainly bear you in mind if I think of anything. I've been busy today and yesterday with pre-assessment telephone appointments.

I've been extremely busy this week getting everything ready, and hope things will be a lot quieter next week as I prepare for the operation on Friday. I want things to be as hassle free as possible because my hubby is a culinary thrombosis (clot in the kitchen!!) and I don't want the worry of that! Just involves more work later, sorting it all out!

My room is definitely much improved now, and certainly usable again - not that I have much opportunity for that until I'm on the mend again. When I keep it tidy, it functions very well with its different work zones that flow one into another. Recently it had got so bad that I thought I was a good candidate for one of those TV programmes about hoarders! There are still a lot of UFOs that need dealing with, and that would free up quite a bit of space.

Happy belated WOYWW and God bless,
Shoshi x #26

Hi Caro, commenting in order this week so only just getting to the end! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers re mum, she is home now and the op she needs is postponed while she tries to get a bit stronger. Not entirely sure how we will do that but its good to have her home!! Now a two month challenge is maybe something I could get on board with, but like you I'd be fits and starts, I don't get in the craft room every day. Well done for catching up. Yu two look so happy together - congrats again on your anniversary. Happy WOYWW, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy x
