Busy Wednesday (WOYWW)

As the title says I am extremely busy at the moment so who knows when this WOYWW post will actually be posted and linked up, even though I have started typing it on Tuesday!  Here is my desk as it was on Tuesday morning...occupied by Alex who was making a sign using gold card and some of my washi tape and stamps.
Here is the completed sign...I think he intends to put it up in his room somewhere!
This is my desk as it was on Tuesday evening just after I had put the finishing touches to a page from my Art Journal. The pens have been safely put away in the new mug sat at the back of my desk so all you can see is my trusty mug of tea (yes, I like weak and milky tea!), the washi tapes from Alex's crafting session, some post it notes and my art journal.  Towards the back of the desk on the side of the white drawers are all my lovely ATCs on display.
Here is a close up of them with my little knitted octopi and the charm from Jo in the foreground.  I love them all, so varied and beautiful.
This is a close up of that journal page made with Adirondack colour wash inks, and distress inks for the stamping followed by glimmer mist for that added shimmer.  I am not entirely happy with it, but I guess it is only about the 6th I have ever done so there is definitely room for improvement... I think it is the writing that I don't like. That's all from me for now.  Have a nice week everyone.
Love
Caro

Your ATC's look wonderful on display...perhaps I will do the same...I was thinking of a special binder with baseball sleeves but that is very utilitarian! I do have an edge of cupboards where i could display them too...thanks for the great idea.

I love that Alex enjoys art...so does my grandson who is 5. In Canada they do not go to school till the year they are 5 before Nov 30 (or something like that). So Little Mr P and I play cards, play games (quite cimplicated games that he teaches me the "constructions" to), build lego, AND do art. He wants to make cards just like his sister! What fun they are at this age. Treasure your time with Alex as soon he will be all grown up and not want to play with your supplies anymore!

How lovely it has been making and receiving all the lovely ATCs! WE've all got some treasures. Lovely to see around your desk and to see a bit of my makings around too.
Ale is doing so well... great sign!

I think it's a lovely journal! One's writing isn't always pretty so maybe don't try so hard to make perfect. A little loopy/sloppy maybe actually work better for you. Thanks for the earlier visit. Happy WOYWW! Nan G #3

Hi Great idea to put your ATC's up on a unit like that - am inspired to to the same !
I struggle with the lettering in my journal too - mine never seems quite in proportion or a great as the other journals I admire - but I try to console myself that at least I am saying whatever I want to say - even if it turns out a bit on the wonk !
Thanks for calling by earlier ! Ali x #36

The writing is fine - and you'll do more and more and it will become even more confident and anyway - it's kinda part of your signature in the book, don't you think! You've had some lovely ATCs...so not surprised to see them so neatly arranged!

Wonderful idea to put the ATC's where you can enjoy them! Your journal page is great. I don't like my handwriting, but I'm too lazy to actually work on learning some nice calligraphy! Is your son in taekwondo? I'm a purple belt..well, it's been 9 years since I took a class, but...
Thanks for visiting my desk!
